Job Summary The IAM Engineer acts as the technical subject matter expert and operational lead for Bridgestone’s IAM services within the designated region or business unit. The mission of IAM within the Bridgestone Information Security team is to secure and protect the digital identities of Bridgestone’s users, systems, and customers. The IAM Engineer works within a distributed team to achieve the vision of right users, right access, right resources, right time; following the guiding principles of Least Privilege, Separation of Duties, and Zero Trust.

- Access Management – manage user access to applications, data, and systems.
- Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) – manage the full user lifecycle (joiner/mover/leaver) for employees, contractors, and customers.
- Active Directory Services – establish, monitor, and enforce regional and global identity standards.

The IAM Engineer has responsibility to support and to continuously improve the Identity services throughout the business, enabling them to achieve their goals and making Bridgestone easier to do business with. This role will also be responsible for advanced reporting and data analytics to show status and to help maintain and improve our Identity programs.

Responsibilities

- Act as the technical point of contact for IAM services to troubleshoot and resolve Identity issues within the region or business unit.
- Collaborate with other IAM teammates, product owners, and engineers on Identity strategy and operations.




- Drive continuous improvement to Identity processes and operational support activities.
- Participate in IAM projects and initiatives, balancing user experience with security.
- Work with internal stakeholders, external partners, and application teams to understand and implement access requirements.
- Maintain documentation for the IAM program and provide training for users.
- Participate in IAM audits and review access control reports to identify potential risks.
- Provide reports on the status of IAM within the organization.

Required Qualifications

- University degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (Information Technology, Security, Systems Management, or Services), or the equivalent combination of education, skilled training, or work/military experience.
- 4+ years of experience providing operational support for IAM services (Access Management, MFA/SSO or IGA User Lifecycle Management J/M/L)
- 2+ years of experience working with Microsoft Active Directory or Entra ID
- Experience operating within Agile delivery methodologies as a member of a distributed team.
- Experience with ServiceNow ITSM ticketing system.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Solid business acumen; understands how IAM supports business objectives.
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and working through change.
- Works well on a team; supplemented by the ability to work with minimal supervision.
