Oakridge International School, Bachupally is seeking a passionate and experienced IBDP Economics Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate should have strong subject expertise, experience teaching Economics in the IB Diploma Programme, and the ability to inspire students through engaging and inquiry-based learning practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Economics lessons for IBDP students in alignment with IB curriculum standards.
- Develop lesson plans, learning resources, assessments, and instructional strategies.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Support students with Internal Assessments (IA), Extended Essays (EE), and examination preparation.
- Foster critical thinking, analytical, and research skills among students.
- Participate in curriculum planning, academic reviews, parent meetings, and school events.
- Maintain accurate academic records and assessment data.
- Collaborate with faculty members to ensure effective teaching and learning outcomes.
Qualification
- Master's Degree in Economics or related field.
- B.Ed qualification is mandatory.
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in IBDP Economics.
- Robust understanding of IB philosophy, assessment criteria, and inquiry-based learning.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural learning environment.
Preferred
- IB-certified educator.
- Experience handling IGCSE Economics.
- Experience guiding students in EE and IA projects.
