ROLE PURPOSE The HR Officer - Generalist will manage and coordinate end-to-end HR functions across all three campuses of GoldenBee Global Schools. The role requires a hands-on HR professional who owns the complete employee lifecycle, including manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, HR operations, attendance and payroll coordination, employee relations, performance management, training and development, organisational culture, compliance and separation.
A key responsibility is to ensure that GoldenBee's culture, values, HR practices and professional standards are consistently maintained across all campuses.
1. Recruitment & Manpower Planning
- Coordinate manpower requirements with Principals, HODs and Management across all campuses.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for teaching, non-teaching, administrative and support positions.
- Source candidates through job portals, referrals and other recruitment channels.
- Conduct initial HR screening and coordinate subsequent interview rounds.
- Maintain campus-wise manpower and recruitment trackers.
- Conduct reference and background verification as required.
- Prepare offer letters, appointment letters and employment documentation.
- Monitor recruitment turnaround time and close priority positions within agreed timelines.
2. Joining, Onboarding & Employee Documentation
- Manage complete joining formalities and verify educational, professional and statutory documents.
- Maintain accurate personnel files, employee master data and HR records.
- Conduct HR induction and orientation for new employees.
- Ensure employees understand GoldenBee policies, culture, reporting structure and professional expectations.
3. Attendance, Leave & Payroll Coordination
- Monitor attendance, leave and regularisation across campuses.
- Verify monthly attendance and payroll inputs, including new joiners, exits, loss of pay and salary revisions.
- Coordinate with Finance/Payroll for timely salary processing and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and compensation information.
4. Performance Management
- Coordinate probation reviews, employee confirmations and annual performance appraisals.
- Track appraisal eligibility, increments, promotions and timely completion by reporting managers.
- Support Performance Improvement Plans wherever required and maintain performance records.
- Identify recurring performance gaps requiring HR or training intervention.
5. Training & Development
- Identify training needs with Principals, HODs and Management and maintain an annual Training & Development calendar.
- Coordinate induction, faculty development, professional development, soft-skills and leadership programmes.
- Arrange training on communication, parent interaction, workplace conduct, child safeguarding and school policies.
- Coordinate internal and external trainers; maintain attendance, feedback and completion records.
- Measure training effectiveness, identify competency gaps and follow up on implementation.
- Support leadership development and succession planning.
6. Organisational Culture & Employee Experience
- Act as custodian of GoldenBee's organisational culture and values across all campuses.
- Ensure consistency in workplace standards, employee experience and professional practices.
- Reinforce the vision, mission, values and expected workplace behaviours.
- Promote a positive, respectful, team-oriented, accountable and performance-oriented culture.
- Conduct employee connect sessions and periodic feedback or pulse checks.
- Identify cultural gaps, workplace concerns and communication issues; coordinate suitable interventions.
- Promote teamwork, cross-campus collaboration, recognition and appreciation.
- Monitor employee morale, engagement and retention trends and report observations to Management.
7. Employee Relations & Grievance Management
- Serve as an approachable HR point of contact across all three campuses.
- Address employee queries and concerns professionally, fairly and confidentially.
- Handle grievances, conflict resolution and corrective discussions with appropriate documentation.
- Support disciplinary processes in line with organisational policies.
8. HR Policies, Processes & Compliance
- Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies and procedures across campuses.
- Maintain contracts, employee records and statutory documentation.
- Track probation, confirmation, contract renewal and other employee milestones.
- Support PF, ESI, Professional Tax and other applicable compliance requirements with relevant teams or consultants.
- Support HR audits, maintain documentation readiness and recommend process improvements.
9. Employee Engagement & Welfare
- Develop and implement an annual employee engagement plan.
- Coordinate staff celebrations, recognition programmes, team-building and welfare activities.
- Strengthen employee satisfaction, belonging and participation in institutional programmes.
10. Transfers, Promotions & Employee Movements
- Coordinate inter-campus transfers and employee movements.
- Maintain records of promotions, designation changes and salary revisions.
- Issue relevant HR documentation and update employee master data promptly.
11. Separation & Exit Management
- Manage resignation acknowledgement,
notice periods, handovers and exit formalities.
- Conduct exit interviews and coordinate clearance and full-and-final settlement inputs.
- Maintain attrition records, analyse turnover reasons and report significant trends.
12. HR MIS & Management Reporting
- Maintain accurate campus-wise dashboards for manpower, vacancies, recruitment, attendance, leave, joiners, exits and attrition.
- Track probation, confirmation, contracts, appraisals, increments, training, engagement, grievances and compliance.
- Submit periodic HR MIS and key people-related observations to Management.
MULTI-CAMPUS RESPONSIBILITY The HR Officer will coordinate and implement HR practices across:
- GoldenBee Global Schools - Begur-Koppa Road
- GoldenBee Global Schools - BTM Layout
- GoldenBee Global Schools - Horamavu-Kalkere
Regular travel between campuses is required. The HR Officer must maintain uniform HR processes, documentation standards, employee experience and organisational culture across all three campuses.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Preferably 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience.
- School, educational institution or multi-location experience will be preferred.
- Practical experience in recruitment, HR operations, employee relations, training, performance management and payroll coordination.
- Working knowledge of HR statutory requirements and strong proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets and HR MIS.

ROLE EXPECTATION
This is a hands-on HR Generalist role, not solely an HR administrator or recruiter. The HR Officer is expected to own the complete employee lifecycle, remain regularly present and accessible across all three campuses, proactively identify people-related concerns, and work closely with campus leadership and Management to build a professional, accountable, engaged and high-performing GoldenBee team.
