This is a high-visibility seat for a builder who brings structure, automation, and rigour to HR from the ground up, while working shoulder-to-shoulder with senior leadership.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

This is a broad and integrated mandate spanning the following areas:

- Recruitment - the sharpest edge of the role. End-to-end, hands-on ownership of hiring: sourcing, screening, closing. Built to work in a lean setup, requiring the individual to drive outcomes independently as well as with a team.
- Culture Building - shaping what it feels like to work here, and what it looks like to the outside world as Smile's name grows in the talent market.
- Performance Management - owning the full cycle: goal-setting, reviews, feedback. Coaching managers to have performance conversations that actually land.
- Learning & Development - spotting the gaps before they become bottlenecks, and building what closes them.
- Compensation & Benefits - owning the structure: benchmarking, salary reviews,



benefits administration and keeping the offering sharp as the business scales.

This role is designed to be run as one connected system.

WHAT YOU BRING

- 7 years of HR experience across the full talent lifecycle, ideally forged in SaaS / tech startups or the digital space
- A hands-on recruiter's instincts - comfortable moving fast without a large support team
- Solid generalist fundamentals across every area above
- High agency and an ownership mindset - someone who proactively builds and owns
- Strong stakeholder management - able to consult and influence leadership with clarity and confidence
- Positive to have: understanding of Indian and APAC labor laws and compliance standards

HOW WE WORK

Location: Gurugram, Haryana, India

Working Pattern: Full-time, in-office, five days a week. We can work around personal needs where it makes sense - but being together is how we do our best work.
