To manage plant health, safety and environmental systems, ensure statutory and ISO compliance, prevent incidents and develop a strong safety culture across employees, contractors and project activities.Key Responsibilities

- Implement and monitor the plant’s HSE policy, objectives, procedures and annual action plan.

- Ensure compliance with applicable requirements of DISH, GPCB, Factory Licence, Fire Safety, hazardous waste and other statutory authorities.

- Maintain and support ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems, audits and continual-improvement activities.

- Conduct workplace inspections, safety audits, behavioural observations and compliance reviews.

- Prepare and review HIRA, JSA, risk assessments, aspect-impact registers and safe operating procedures.

- Manage Permit-to-Work systems covering hot work, confined space, work at height, excavation, lifting, electrical isolation and line breaking.

- Ensure effective Lockout/Tagout, machine guarding and energy-isolation practices.

- Monitor high-risk maintenance, shutdown, construction and project activities.

- Conduct incident, near-miss and unsafe-condition investigations using RCA methodology.

- Track corrective and preventive actions to closure and verify their effectiveness.

- Develop emergency-response plans for fire, chemical leakage, electrical incidents, medical emergencies and natural disasters.

- Plan mock drills and coordinate with emergency-response teams, hospitals and external agencies.

- Inspect firefighting systems, emergency equipment, first-aid facilities, eyewash stations and spill-control arrangements.





- Conduct HSE induction, toolbox talks, refresher training and competency-awareness programmes.

- Manage contractor HSE prequalification, induction, documentation, supervision and performance evaluation.

- Ensure correct selection, availability and use of PPE.

- Monitor environmental parameters, including stack emissions, ambient air, water, wastewater, noise and hazardous waste.

- Coordinate statutory monitoring, laboratory testing and submission of required reports and returns.

- Maintain SDS, chemical inventories, hazardous-waste records, manifests and disposal documentation.

- Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Projects, HR, Security, contractors and statutory authorities.

- Prepare monthly HSE MIS, trend analysis and management-review presentations.

Statutory Documentation

- Maintain statutory registers, licences, consents, certificates, inspection reports and compliance calendars.

- Track validity and renewal of Factory Licence, Consent, Fire approvals and other applicable permissions.

- Support statutory inspections and ensure timely closure of observations.

- Maintain incident records, training registers, PTW records, PPE records and medical-surveillance data.





- Ensure HSE documents are controlled, updated and readily available for audits.

Required Competencies

- Industrial safety, occupational health and environmental management.

- Statutory compliance and coordination with government authorities.

- HIRA, JSA, RCA, emergency planning and incident investigation.
