About the Role
Oracle Group is looking for an experienced Head of HR – Group to lead HR across multiple manufacturing units and corporate functions, covering approximately 800 employees across two legal entities.
This is a strategic HR leadership and systems-building role. The candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing and standardizing HR systems across recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training, competency development, HR policies and statutory compliance.
The role requires a hands-on HR leader who can work closely with management and plant teams and drive consistent HR practices across multiple manufacturing locations.
Key Responsibilities HR Systems & Process Development
- Design, implement and continuously improve group-wide HR systems and processes.
- Develop standardized processes for onboarding, induction, performance management, training, competency, policies, grievance and disciplinary procedures.
- Ensure HR processes have clear ownership, documentation, records and measurable implementation standards.
- Establish HR processes that are consistent across all manufacturing units.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Lead group-wide recruitment and manpower planning.
- Develop and maintain an internal candidate pipeline to reduce dependency on recruitment agencies.
- Maintain hiring trackers, JDs and structured interview processes.
- Monitor recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, offer acceptance and probation confirmation.
Training & Competency
- Develop and maintain competency matrices by role and unit.
- Identify skill gaps and prepare training plans and calendars.
- Monitor training effectiveness and maintain proper training records.
- Ensure people-related training documentation supports BRCGS requirements.
Performance Management
- Implement and manage the group performance management system.
- Establish a structured performance review and calibration process.
- Maintain proper performance documentation and support the annual increment process.
- Ensure performance management practices are consistently followed across units.
HR Compliance
- Lead HR statutory and labour-law compliance across all units.
- Ensure compliance related to PF, ESIC, Contract Labour, minimum wages, POSH and other applicable labour requirements.
- Maintain required registers, records and statutory documentation.
- Coordinate with external labour-law consultants and ensure timely closure of compliance gaps.
- Ensure HR documentation and training records are audit-ready.
HR Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the HR team across recruitment, operations, payroll and administration.
- Define responsibilities, service standards and review mechanisms for the HR team.
- Establish accountability and ensure HR processes are followed consistently.
- Develop a process-driven HR function with reduced dependency on individuals.
HR MIS & Reporting
- Prepare and present monthly HR reports to the Managing Director.
- Track headcount, attrition, recruitment, cost per hire,
training completion, probation confirmation, disciplinary matters and grievances.
- Establish accurate and consistent HR data and reporting across all units.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of HR experience, including at least 3 years in an HR leadership role.
- Manufacturing industry experience is essential.
- Proven experience in building and implementing HR systems/processes from scratch.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes, employee relations and statutory compliance.
- Working knowledge of Indian labour laws, including PF, ESIC, Contract Labour, Minimum Wages, POSH and contractor compliance.
- Experience managing HR teams and working across multiple units is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and process-design skills.
- Comfortable working with plant and shop-floor teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Fluent in Hindi and English.
- Gujarati language knowledge will be an advantage.
- Experience working alongside an ERP implementation is preferred.
- MBA/PGDM in HR is preferred but not mandatory.
Candidate Profile We are looking for an HR professional who is a systems builder and strong people leader, rather than someone focused only on routine HR administration.
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate:
- HR systems personally designed and implemented.
- Experience driving adoption of HR processes across teams or multiple locations.
- Ability to identify HR process gaps and implement practical solutions.
- Robust statutory judgement and compliance ownership.
- Ability to work independently with senior management and plant leadership.
Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,300,000.00 per year
