Job Summary

We are looking for a Hotel Maintenance Staff / Technician to join our team in Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh.

The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of the hotel, including plumbing, electrical work, basic carpentry, general repairs, and other miscellaneous maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate should be practical, reliable, hardworking, and capable of identifying and resolving common hotel maintenance issues.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle day-to-day maintenance and repair work throughout the hotel.
- Perform basic plumbing work, including taps, pipes, drainage, washrooms, leakage, and fittings.
- Handle basic electrical work, including switches, sockets, lights, fans, wiring, and minor electrical repairs.
- Check and maintain bathroom fittings, water supply, drainage, and other plumbing systems.
- Carry out basic carpentry and furniture repair work when required.
- Repair or maintain doors, locks, handles, shelves, fixtures, and other hotel fittings.
- Attend to maintenance complaints reported by guests or hotel departments.
- Respond quickly to maintenance issues in guest rooms and common areas.
- Carry out regular inspection of rooms, public areas, equipment, and hotel facilities.
- Identify potential maintenance problems and report major issues to management.




- Assist external technicians and contractors when specialized repairs are required.
- Maintain basic maintenance tools and equipment properly.
- Keep the maintenance area clean and organized.
- Follow hotel safety procedures while carrying out repair and maintenance work.
- Assist with other miscellaneous hotel maintenance and operational work as required.
- Maintain discipline, punctuality, proper grooming, and professional behaviour at the workplace.

Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel, resort, building, property, or commercial maintenance is preferred.
- Good practical knowledge of plumbing and electrical work.
- Knowledge of basic carpentry and general repair work will be an advantage.
- Ability to handle multiple types of maintenance and miscellaneous tasks.
- Ability to identify and resolve basic maintenance problems independently.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in different areas of the hotel.
- Honest, responsible, hardworking, and punctual.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts and attend emergency maintenance requirements when needed.
- Candidates with experience in hotel maintenance will be preferred.
