Malibhai is a Plant Studio creating aesthetic and functional green spaces through landscaping, balcony & terrace makeovers, plant styling, garden maintenance, kitchen gardens and creative plant dcor for residential and commercial spaces.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Horticulturist / Landscape Designer who combines strong plant knowledge with creativity, design sense and on-ground execution capability.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and execute balcony, terrace, residential and commercial landscaping projects.
- Conduct site visits, understand client requirements and develop practical plant-styling solutions.
- Manage plant health, nutrition, pruning, pest management, soil media and nursery operations.
- Plan and supervise garden maintenance and coordinate gardeners/labour.
- Select plants based on season, location, light, aesthetics and maintenance requirements.
- Prepare BOQs, material requirements and execution plans.
- Develop creative plant products such as Kokedama, terrariums, moss dcor, succulent arrangements, air-plant products and planter solutions.
- Research recent plant dcor trends and contribute to new product development and prototyping.
- Manage procurement of plants, pots, soil media, dcor materials and coordinate with vendors.
- Maintain client relationships and provide post-installation/maintenance support.

Requirements




- Bachelor's degree in Horticulture / Agriculture / Landscape Architecture.
- 13 years of relevant experience in horticulture, landscaping or garden management.
- Good knowledge of plants, nutrition, soil, pest management and plant maintenance.
- Strong creative and spatial design sense.
- Good communication and client-handling skills.
- Willingness to travel for site visits and work hands-on with plants and project teams.

Design, Technology & Continuous Improvement
- Explore new technologies and systems that can improve urban gardening.
- Research solutions such as vertical gardening, hydroponic towers, modular gardening systems and space-efficient growing systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve plant survival, maintenance efficiency and customer experience.
- Use design and visualisation tools where required to communicate landscape and product concepts.
