Hiring: Manager – Purchase (Paper & Board)

Location: Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh

Qualification: B.Com / BBA / B.Tech

About the Role

-We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager – Paper & Board with robust, hands-on experience in paper and paperboard procurement within the printing, packaging, paper trading, corrugation, or related industry.

-This is a specialized purchase role. We will not consider candidates without relevant paper/paperboard procurement experience.

-The role will involve direct coordination with paper mills, traders, and importers, managing purchase costs, vendor relationships, material planning, and landed-cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

-Conduct GSM-wise rate discovery across mills, traders, and importers and maintain a live paper rate log.

-Manage procurement of virgin and recycled board, food-grade liners, poly-coated stock, BOPP, and laminate films.

-Evaluate reel vs. sheet buying to minimize cutting-stage wastage.

-Develop and maintain strong relationships with paper mills and negotiate rates, credit terms, and commercial conditions.

-Ensure complete landed-cost calculations, including material rate, freight, GST, and wastage.

-Prepare and maintain a 3-month rolling paper requirement plan based on production forecasts.

-Manage procurement of non-paper raw materials such as non-woven, PET, inks,



and adhesives as a secondary responsibility.

-Coordinate with Accounts for monthly vendor ledger reconciliation and ensure zero open items.

-Monitor market rates, availability, lead times, and supplier performance.

Technical Knowledge Required

-Candidates should have practical knowledge of:

GSM | BF | Deckle | Reel Width | Substance Variation | Moisture Allowance | Wastage Norms | Landed Cost | Paper & Board Grades

What We're Looking For

-5–10 years of relevant purchase/procurement experience.

-Mandatory: Hands-on experience in procuring paper and paperboard.

-Existing relationships with paper mills, traders, or importers will be highly valuable.

-Ability to negotiate rates and credit terms effectively.

-Strong understanding of paper specifications, grades, GSM, deckle, and reel sizes.

-Strong Excel skills and working knowledge of Tally.

-Good analytical, negotiation, vendor-management, and cost-control skills.

-Ability to travel to mills, traders, and the Bagpat site as required.
