Job Title: PHP/WordPress Software Engineer

We are looking for skilled in PHP/ WordPress Developer with solid experience in custom WordPress plugin and theme development. The ideal candidate must have a strong foundation in Core PHP and basic PHP concepts, along with hands-on experience in MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery, and frameworks like Laravel or CodeIgniter.

Youll be responsible for building secure, scalable, and high-performance WordPress-based applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain custom WordPress plugins and themes from scratch.
- Implement custom post types (CPTs), taxonomies, shortcodes, hooks, and filters.
- Work with Core PHP to build reusable, modular, and maintainable code structures.
- Develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party APIs, CRMs, and payment gateways.
- Optimize WordPress sites for speed, SEO, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with UI/UX, backend, and QA teams for smooth project delivery.
- Handle database design, query optimization, and schema management using MySQL.
- Maintain version control using Git (GitHub / GitLab / Bitbucket).
- Troubleshoot and debug performance, compatibility, or integration issues.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Core PHP, OOPs concepts, and PHP fundamentals (sessions, cookies, forms, arrays, functions, etc.).
- Expertise in custom WordPress development themes, plugins, and hooks.
- Solid understanding of WordPress architecture, database schema,



and coding standards.
- Proficiency in MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with WooCommerce, ACF, and other popular WordPress plugins.
- Knowledge of Laravel or CodeIgniter frameworks (added advantage).
- Familiarity with Git-based version control and deployment workflows.
- Understanding of web security, caching, and performance tuning.
- Exposure to cloud hosting environments (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.) preferred.

- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of independent project ownership.

Education & Experience

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in WordPress and PHP development.
