Job Title: Design Engineer Casting (Automotive)

Work Location: Bangalore / Hosur

Experience: 27 Years

Notice Period: Immediate to 60 Days

Job Summary

We are looking for experienced Automotive Casting Design Engineers with hands-on experience in 3D modelling, component design, assembly and drafting using Creo or CATIA. Candidates with experience in engine-related components and automotive product development will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop automotive casting components using Creo or CATIA.
- Work on 3D modelling, 2D detailing, assembly design and engineering drawings.
- Handle casting design activities for automotive components, preferably engine-related parts.
- Ensure designs meet casting feasibility, manufacturability and product requirements.
- Apply knowledge of GD&T;, material specifications, machining requirements and casting processes.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for design validation, manufacturing feasibility and engineering changes.
- Support design reviews, drawing releases and product development activities.

Required Skills





- BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile or relevant engineering discipline.
- 27 years of experience in automotive casting design.
- Hands-on experience in Creo or CATIA.
- Experience in 3D modelling, 2D drafting, assembly design and detailing.
- Knowledge of casting processes, casting design principles and manufacturing feasibility.
- Understanding of GD&T;, engineering drawings and material specifications.
- Should have worked on Surface modeling

Preferred Experience:

- Experience in engine-related casting components, such as:

- Cylinder Head

- Cylinder Block / Crankcase

- Crankcase Cover
- Oil Sump / Oil Pan

- Gearbox / Transmission Housing

- Engine Mounting Brackets

- Intake Manifold
- Experience in automotive OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers or automotive engineering design service companies.
