Role & responsibilities

We're looking for a Head of Software Development to lead our complete software engineering function spanning full-stack application development, backend/cloud systems, databases, and embedded firmware/microcontroller platforms. You'll own the entire SDLC from architecture through deployment and field support, build and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams, and set technical direction across both application software and embedded/firmware domains. Ideal for a hands-on technical leader who can move fluently between high-level architecture and low-level embedded development, ideally with experience in safety-critical or regulated industries (railways, automotive, defence, industrial automation).
