About the Role: We are looking for a hands-on Operations Head to build systems and scale operations while preserving the brand's craftsmanship and quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end operations from sourcing and production planning through manufacturing, quality, finishing, inventory and dispatch.
- Build a robust product costing system based on material consumption, activity-wise labour hours, wastage and production overheads.
- Establish standard time and cost norms for different production activities and continuously track actual vs. standard cost.
- Monitor product-level margins, cost leakage, productivity and profitability.
- Manage production capacity, manpower, vendors/artisans and delivery timelines.
- Drive process improvement, SOPs, MIS and operational discipline as the business scales.
- Work closely with the Founder/Design team to assess the commercial and production feasibility of new designs before committing to production.




- Ensure quality and finishing standards are maintained without compromising the brand's craftsmanship.
- Manage relevant export/fulfilment coordination and ensure timely order execution.
- Build and develop the operations team and create accountability across functions.

Ideal Candidate

- 8-10 years plus of experience in apparel, fashion, textiles, luxury, handicrafts or an export-oriented manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing small/medium-sized, high-value and low-volume operations rather than only large-scale mass production.
- Robust understanding of product costing, labour-hour costing, production overhead absorption and margin management.
- Hands-on, entrepreneurial and comfortable working directly with a Founder.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with the capability to build systems from scratch.
- Experience in a founder-led / entrepreneurial business would be highly preferred.
