QC HEAD – STAINLESS STEEL PLANTJob PurposeLead the Quality Control function to ensure consistent product and process quality across the Stainless Steel manufacturing process, from incoming raw material to final inspection and dispatch. Drive quality systems, process improvement, customer compliance and reduction of rejection/rework.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead day-to-day QC activities and manage the Quality Control team.
- Ensure incoming, in-process, final inspection and PDI are effectively implemented.
- Monitor critical Stainless Steel parameters including grade, dimensions, surface finish, hardness and mechanical properties.
- Conduct and review SPC, Cpk/Ppk and MSA/Gauge R&R; studies for critical characteristics.
- Monitor daily UTM/laboratory testing including YS, TS, Elongation, Hardness, Flaring and Flatting.
- Ensure 4M Change, Poka-Yoke, First Piece Inspection and traceability requirements are followed.
- Lead 8D, RCA and CAPA for internal and customer quality issues.
- Conduct process and product audits and ensure timely closure of findings.
- Prepare, review and control SOPs, Work Instructions, Inspection Standards and Quality Records.
- Support APQP, PPAP, PFMEA and Control Plan activities for new products and process changes.
- Verify marking,



heat/batch number and product traceability before production and dispatch.
- Prepare and review Daily QC Reports, rejection data and quality performance indicators.
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance and other departments for corrective and preventive actions.

- Strong knowledge of Stainless Steel manufacturing and quality control.
- Valuable knowledge of SPC, MSA, Cpk/Ppk, PFMEA, Control Plan, APQP and PPAP.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in 8D, RCA and CAPA.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 requirements.
- Good understanding of mechanical testing, dimensional inspection and material traceability.
- Strong leadership, analytical and documentation skills.

Qualification & Experience
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Metallurgy or related Engineering.
- 8–12 years of relevant Quality experience in Stainless Steel / Tube / Pipe / Metal Manufacturing.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a supervisory/managerial Quality role preferred.
