Abhidev Exports is looking for an experienced Quality Control Head to take complete ownership of quality assurance across our garment manufacturing and export operations.

Role Description

The Head of Quality Control is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for overseeing all quality-related processes across production units. This role involves developing and implementing quality control plans, setting inspection standards, and monitoring adherence to internal and external compliance requirements. The Head of Quality Control will lead QC teams, coordinate laboratory testing, analyze quality data, and drive corrective and preventive actions to reduce defects and improve product consistency.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications :

- Strong foundation in quality disciplines, including Quality Control and Quality Assurance.
- Experience in Quality Management, with the ability to design, implement, and optimize quality systems and procedures.
- Relevant Laboratory Skills to oversee testing protocols, evaluate results, and ensure compliance with fabric and garment specifications.
- Prior experience in apparel manufacturing or textiles,



preferably in export-focused environments.
- Get the fabric inspection report generated and ensure that the quality, colour, construction, GSM, shrinkage, are conforming to approved standards.
- Ensure trims and accessories are duly approved by merchandising department before being issued to production department
- Review approved samples, tech packs, measurement charts and buyer quality requirements before production begins.
- Ensure final pattern is approved by pattern master as per the final sample approved.
- Conduct pre-production, in-line, end-line and final quality inspections
- Responsible to coordinate and support external quality inspections and reports
- Ensure garments are produced according to approved samples, buyer specifications, measurements, workmanship and construction standards.
- Monitor cutting, stitching, washing, embroidery, printing, finishing and packing processes.
- Identify and prevent defects at every stage of production.
- Check finished garments for measurement accuracy, stitching quality, stains, fabric defects, broken stitches, loose or uncut threads, puckering, pressing, finishing and overall presentation.
- Ensure corrective action is taken promptly and recurring quality issues are prevented with proper documentation.
- Maintain inspection reports, quality records and necessary documentation.
- Coordinate closely with production, merchandising, sampling and sourcing teams to ensure quality standards are consistently maintained.
- Take complete ownership of end-to-end quality control—from incoming material inspection to final packed-goods approval.
