Lyor is building the future of luxury managed living. We lease homes from landlords, furnish them with furniture we design and manufacture in-house, and rent them at Rs 2.5-10 lakh a month to expats, delegates, senior executives and companies housing their CXOs. Our furniture vertical is now spinning out as a standalone D2C brand. We're scaling from ~50 to 500 properties over the next 18-24 months - and we need the person who will own the numbers behind that scale.
The role
Everything a CFO / Head of Finance does - you'll build and run the finance function end to end:
- Accounting and financial control across homes and the furniture business
- Statutory compliance, tax and audits - zero misses
- MIS and business metrics that leadership can actually act on
- Cash flow and working capital: landlord rents, maintenance, furnishing capex
- Budgeting and planning for a 10x scale-up
- Unit economics per property: contribution margin, payback on onboarding capex
- Fundraise support: models, diligence, investor reporting
- Finance systems and processes that hold up at 500 homes, not just 50
Who you are
- Attention to detail, strong grip on business metrics, sharp analysis, out-of-the-box thinking - all four are musts
- Proficiency in AI tools is a must
- CA / CFA or similar grounding (preferred, not a hard gate)
- You've run finance for a real operating business - real estate, hospitality, consumer or another asset-heavy, ops-intensive setup is a plus
- Comfortable being the first finance leader: you build the function, you don't inherit it
What success looks like
Clean books, zero compliance misses, an MIS the founder trusts, unit economics that decide every new property, and fundraise-ready numbers.
