The Commercial Head serves as the financial and procurement anchor for Jindal Foundation and Jindal Steel’s CSR initiatives. This role is responsible for overseeing all foundation-level finance, procurement, contract management, statutory compliance, and budget optimization. The position establishes solid, system-based financial management tools to ensure maximum fiscal transparency, operational efficiency, and value creation across all CSR programs.

Key Responsibilities

- Financial Strategy & Governance:
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation across all CSR pillars.
- Establish and enforce system-based financial management protocols and automated monitoring tools to track real-time fund utilization and project-wise expenditure.
- Ensure complete compliance with the Companies Act (CSR Rules), Income Tax (80G, 12A, etc), and other statutory corporate governance mandates.
- Procurement & Purchase Function:
- Oversee all foundation-level procurement, vendor management, and contracting for goods, equipment, and medical/educational supplies.
- Standardize vendor selection, competitive bidding, and contract negotiation processes to drive cost optimization without compromising quality.
- Manage supply chains for hub facilities including Jindal Aarogyam Hospital,



OP Jindal Schools, mobile medical vans (Kishori Express), and infrastructure builds.
- Audit & Internal Controls:
- Design and implement robust internal financial control systems to prevent leakage and ensure audit readiness.
- Direct internal, external, and statutory audits for Jindal Foundation and Jindal Steel CSR programs.
- Provide transparent, board-ready financial reports and budget variance analyses to senior executive leadership.
- Commercial & Contractual Oversight:
- Manage financial frameworks for community-led micro-enterprises (Project Akriti, JJK) and grant disbursement mechanisms.
- Oversee financial disbursements for scholarship funds (Yashasvi, OPJ) and housing subsidies (Aashiana).

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

- Education: CA / ICWA / MBA (Finance) from a premier institution.
- Experience: 12–15 years of progressive experience in commercial management, corporate finance, and strategic procurement (prior experience in large corporate foundations, EPC, or heavy industry CSR is highly desirable).
- Skills: Expert knowledge of Indian CSR legislation, SAP/ERP financial systems, vendor negotiation, unit-cost economics, and risk management.
