Role Description The Head of Engineering is a full-time, on-site role based in Nashik, responsible for leading the engineering function across mechanical, automation, robotics, software, and controls. This role oversees end-to-end engineering delivery for intralogistics solutions, from concept and design through development, testing, deployment, and lifecycle support. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing and mentoring engineering teams, defining technical roadmaps, reviewing system architectures, and ensuring that solutions meet performance, safety, and reliability standards.

The Head of Engineering collaborates closely with product, operations, manufacturing,



and commercial teams to translate material-flow challenges into scalable, standardized solution configurations. The role also involves driving best practices in engineering management, optimizing development processes, managing project portfolios, and fostering innovation aligned with NIDO’s platform strategy.

Qualifications

- Strong people leadership capabilities, including Team Management and Team Leadership skills to build, guide, and develop multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Proven experience in Engineering Management, with responsibility for technical strategy, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated Project Management skills to plan, prioritize, and deliver complex engineering programs on time and within scope.
- Solid background in Software Development or software-intensive systems, ideally involving automation, robotics, or industrial technology platforms.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial, Computer Science, or related field).
- Experience in intralogistics, automation, robotics, material handling, or industrial systems is highly beneficial.
- Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels, with strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Comfort working in rapid-paced, scaling environments and coordinating across manufacturing, operations, and product teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align technical teams and business objectives.
