Job Purpose To lead and manage the complete outward logistics and dispatch operations of the Hyderabad manufacturing plant, ensuring timely, accurate and cost-effective movement of finished goods and materials to customers, warehouses and other designated locations.

The role will be responsible for end-to-end dispatch planning, logistics execution, transporter management, documentation, customer delivery commitments, freight cost control and ensuring high service levels.

Key Responsibilities

1. Outward Logistics & Dispatch

- Lead the complete outward logistics and dispatch function for finished goods and other plant shipments.
- Plan and execute daily dispatches based on production readiness, customer schedules and delivery commitments.
- Ensure OTIF (On-Time In-Full) delivery performance as per customer requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Stores, Quality, Sales/Customer Service and Finance teams for timely dispatch.
- Ensure proper packing, labelling, documentation and shipment readiness before vehicle placement.
- Monitor dispatch schedules, shipment status and delivery confirmations.

2. Transportation & Fleet Management

- Develop and manage a reliable network of transporters, logistics partners and freight forwarders.
- Negotiate freight rates and optimize transportation costs without compromising delivery performance.
- Monitor transporter performance, vehicle placement, transit time and delivery adherence.
- Establish appropriate transportation models based on shipment volume, destination, urgency and customer requirements.




- Drive initiatives to reduce freight cost, vehicle waiting time, detention and other logistics-related expenses.

3. Customer & Business Coordination

- Coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders on dispatch schedules and delivery requirements.
- Ensure adherence to customer-specific logistics, packaging and documentation requirements.
- Proactively identify potential delivery delays and establish recovery plans.
- Handle logistics escalations and ensure timely resolution of customer delivery issues.

4. Documentation & Compliance

- Ensure accurate preparation and control of dispatch documentation, including:

- Delivery Challan

- Invoice
- E-way Bill

- Packing List

- Transport documents
- Customer-specific documentation
- Ensure compliance with applicable GST, e-way bill and transportation regulations.
- Ensure proper system transactions for dispatch and shipment closure in SAP/ERP.
- Maintain complete shipment records and traceability.

5. Warehouse & Dispatch Operations

- Work closely with Stores/Warehouse teams to ensure finished goods are available and ready for dispatch.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO principles wherever applicable.
- Optimize loading, route planning, vehicle utilization and shipment consolidation.
- Monitor loading/unloading turnaround time and minimize vehicle detention.
- Ensure safe handling and transportation of sensitive electronic products.

6. MIS & Performance Management





- Develop and review daily/weekly/monthly logistics MIS covering:
- Dispatch plan vs. actual

- OTIF performance

- Freight cost

- Vehicle placement

- Transit time

- Delivery status

- Customer escalations

- Transporter performance

- Pending PODs
- Freight ageing / pending bills
- Establish logistics KPIs and drive continuous improvement.

7. Team Leadership & Process Improvement

- Lead, mentor and develop the Logistics/Dispatch team.
- Establish robust SOPs, work instructions and internal controls for outward logistics.
- Drive Kaizen, automation, digital tracking and process improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for logistics cost reduction and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, EHS requirements and quality management systems.

Candidate Profile

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain , Logistics, Operations, Engineering or related discipline; postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain/Logistics will be an advantage.
- 15–20 years of experience in Logistics, Outward, Dispatch or Supply Chain operations.
- Mandatory experience in EMS / Electronics Manufacturing or a closely related high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience in managing large-scale outward logistics and dispatch operations.
- Hands-on experience with SAP/ERP and logistics management systems.
- Strong knowledge of transportation, freight management, customer deliveries, e-way bills and logistics documentation.
- Proven experience in transporter/vendor management and freight cost optimization.
- Solid leadership, analytical, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
- Should be capable of managing a fast-paced manufacturing environment with multiple customer dispatch requirements.
