We are looking for a Senior HR Professional with at least 15 years of experience for a position of " Head HR - Cluster " with our Human Resources Function based at our Manufacturing Cluster in PUNE.
JOB PURPOSE - The Head HR Cluster is responsible for leading and managing the HR function across multiple manufacturing plants within a designated region. This role ensures that HR strategies align with business goals, fostering a productive, engaged, and compliant workforce
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Talent Acquisition & Management
- Oversee workforce planning and recruitment to ensure optimal staffing levels.
- Implement talent development initiatives, succession planning, and leadership development programs.
- Manage deployment of all talent management related corporate initiatives; Take steps to introduce and socialize these at the Cluster for implementation success, e.g. competency framework, HiPot identification,
- Support assessment and evaluation of functions and role holders to determine gap assessment, and share inputs with Region / corporate HR for design of training programs
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Ensure a positive work culture by implementing employee engagement initiatives.
- Address and resolve employee grievances, conflicts,
and disciplinary matters in accordance with company policies.
- Conduct regular employee feedback sessions and drive action plans for improvement.
Compliance & Industrial Relations
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, statutory regulations, and company policies across all plants.
- Manage relationships with labor unions / Work Councils and establish work standards
- Handle compliance audits and legal cases related to HR issues.
Learning & Development
- Identify training needs and oversee the execution of learning programs for plant employees.
- Collaborate with leadership teams to upskill employees and enhance workforce capabilities.
Performance Management
- Drive a high-performance culture by implementing effective performance management systems.
- Provide coaching and guidance to plant managers on performance evaluation and improvement strategies.
HR Operations & Compensation Management
- Ensure smooth execution of payroll, attendance management, and other HR operational processes.
- Benchmark compensation structures to remain competitive in the market.
- Oversee HR analytics and reporting for informed decision-making.
Governance HR audit and compliance
- Respond to queries and data requests on HR processes, systems and practices for customers audits such as Stellantis, Renault Nissan etc.; Ensure compliance and adherence with contractors
- Coordinate to provide data, information and respond to queries for various internal / external statutory auditors
- Collate and report on non-compliance / non-adherence to Region HR and determine action plan to close open points/ red flags to ensure compliance
- Monitor and enhance the operational index rigor for on time execution and smooth operations e.g. merit list, PMS ratings, etc.
- Review to ensure all statutory and compliance related requirements are met on time and accurately, e.g. upload of licenses by the plant HR, updates on Compliance Management System (CMS), salary updates on contract labour management system, etc.
- Review, collate and share the monthly compliance review report to the Region HR / employee relations team
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION
- Minimum Qualification required: MBA (HR) - Full-time degree
- Other Qualification: BE/B.Tech (Preferred / Desirable)
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 15 years of robust experience in Human Resources with an Automotive / Auto-Component / manufacturing Organisation.
- Experience of Human Resources function and its disciplines in a manufacturing set- up, preferably in automotive / manufacturing sector with multiple Plants across India - MANDATORY.
- Strong knowledge and good blend/balance of HR and IR. Individual's who have moved from Manufacturing / Plant HR to a Corporate HR role would be ideal candidates.
- Exposure to managing HR at a Corporate level for a footprint of manufacturing units / plants is MANDATORY.
- Strong understanding of functioning of Manufacturing Industry from a Manpower composition perspective.
WORKING WEEK - The Job Role is based at our Manufacturing Cluster in Pune & would require the incumbent to work for 6 days / week. REPORTING - The Position reports to the Regional HR Head and has a team of Head HR - Plant(s) reporting into it.
RELOCATION - Outstation candidates will have to relocate to PUNE with family & will be eligible to avail the Relocation Policy benefits.
