JOB PROFILE: Head of Design: home textiles & made upss Role requirement: A visionary leader responsible for shaping and executing the creative and aesthetic direction of all home textile and made up categories, for premium bedding, lifestyle linen & TOB ranges. The role requires expertise in diverse textiles, a keen aesthetic eye for defining design language & signature across product categories, that resonates with brands ethos and ideology. Capability of operational excellence and system lead functioning across teams.

Keen adherence to time line management and technical direction to team repartees for desired results.

Key functional areas:

Design Strategy & Creative Direction

- Conceptualize and drive collections across product categories, marrying the aesthetic requirement to achieve the range.
- Champion premium ranges supported by visual narratives for cohesive range emergence.
- Direct innovation & exploration mapped with brand architecture resulting in ranges that resonate with brand ethos and aesthetics.
- Drive cataloguing and product shoot requirements to match the brand requirement. Product development & technical support
- End to end product development lifecycle, ensuring seamless transition of ideas into scalable design & products.
- Capability to direct the application of high value embellishments and techniques for a refined product outcome.
- Enforce strict design integrity and precision of proportion for easy of decision making in selection and translation to products.



Cross functional leadership & process standardization
- Lead, mentor and build a high performance design team, fostering an environment with creative ambition and technical precision. • Build and maintain a system lead cross functional work flow, bridging gaps with merchandising, sourcing and quality assurance teams.
- Develop SOPs for design teams, to ensure the premium aesthetics are not diluted due to lack of technical or creative stimulation.
- Partnering with merchandising teams to create products that match the aesthetic requirements of the design outcome expected.

Qualification & Experience

- 10 years of industry relevant experience, in home textiles & made ups. • Proven track record and capability to manage products across assortments in bedding with embroideries, prints, jacquards, knits etc for home textiles.
- Clear understanding & excellence of mediums & technologies across softwares for desired application and outcomes.
- Strong technical understanding of technologies to support in-depth product building.
- A strong portfolio of work demonstrating diverse product category expertise, showcasing deep understanding of aesthetics and design.
- A robust system lead approach reflecting in working methods.
- Strong leadership skill demonstrated cross functional work across teams to master standard of excellence in design and communication with a track record of success in premium and commercially viable success.
