Our Design team creates meaningful omnichannel experiences by combining customer understanding, research, data and craft. We're a close-knit group, from a diverse set of backgrounds and cultures. We work closely across product, engineering, analytics, business and creative teams to make complex journeys simple. As the team scales across Gurugram and Bengaluru, we are looking for a leader who can raise the quality bar while building an environment where designers do their best work.

The Opportunity

As Group Product Design Manager, you will lead a team of product designers and shape the experience vision across important customer and business journeys. You will connect product strategy to a clear design direction, guide teams through ambiguity and ensure that design is a strategic partner in decision-making, not only a delivery function.

This role combines stakeholder management, product thinking and hands-on design leadership. You will be expected to communicate a compelling vision, present ideas with clarity and influence senior stakeholders while staying close enough to the work to protect quality, usability and coherence across platforms.

What You Will Do

- Lead, mentor and grow a team of product designers, creating clarity on goals, expectations,



development plans and career progression.
- Define and communicate a compelling design vision aligned to customer needs, product strategy and business outcomes across Nykaa's portfolio.
- Partner with product, engineering, analytics, research, marketing and business leaders to shape priorities, identify opportunities and make sound trade-offs.
- Raise the quality of design thinking and execution through strong critique, clear principles, effective rituals and a consistent bar for interaction and visual craft.
- Guide teams in using research, behavioural insights and product data to form hypotheses, run experiments and measure the impact of design decisions.
- Champion end-to-end, user-centred problem solving, from framing and discovery through interaction design, prototyping, validation and delivery.
- Strengthen the design system and shared patterns so teams can move faster while maintaining a coherent, accessible and scalable experience across web, iOS and Android.
- Present design strategy, explorations and recommendations to senior stakeholders with a clear narrative, strong rationale and confident communication.
- Build strong relationships across a complex organisation and create alignment when perspectives, constraints or priorities differ.
- Stay connected to customer and industry trends,



bringing a forward-looking perspective to how people discover, evaluate and purchase products.

What You Bring

- 9+ years of experience in product design, including meaningful experience leading or managing designers.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors International (HFI) or a related discipline; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
- A track record of leading design for complex digital products, preferably in consumer technology, e-commerce, marketplaces or another high-scale B2C environment.
- Solid product thinking and the ability to connect customer problems, design quality and business metrics without losing sight of the human experience.
- Excellent presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to make complex design decisions clear, persuasive and actionable for different audiences.
- A visionary, systems-oriented mindset, paired with sound judgement, pragmatism and a willingness to work through details when needed.
- Strong command of interaction design, information architecture, visual design, prototyping and design systems across web and mobile experiences.
- Experience with tools such as Figma, FigJam, Miro or comparable design and collaboration platforms.
- A collaborative leadership style that creates trust, gives useful feedback and helps designers grow in craft, product thinking and influence.
- A portfolio that demonstrates the quality of your work, your design process, your leadership contribution and the outcomes of the products you have helped shape.
