Group Finance Director – UK Accounting & India Finance Operations

We are an established international group of companies with operations across the UK, UAE and Asia.

We are establishing a senior finance function in Chandigarh/Mohali and are looking for an exceptional Chartered Accountant / senior finance leader to take ownership of the finance operations across our group.

This is a hands-on leadership role.

The successful candidate will initially take over an existing finance function currently supporting multiple UK businesses, ensure continuity and control, and then build a structured India-based finance department beneath them.

We are looking for somebody who understands not only accounting, but also how to take responsibility for a complex group, improve systems, manage existing finance staff, introduce controls, produce reliable reporting and build a finance operation that can scale.

Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Taking full ownership of group finance operations

Taking over and reviewing existing accounting processes

Managing and supervising existing finance personnel

Establishing the India finance function in Chandigarh/Mohali Building a small finance team underneath the role

Producing timely monthly management accounts

Group reporting across multiple companies

Cash-flow forecasting and treasury oversight

Budgeting and variance analysis Bank reconciliations and payment controls

Accounts payable and accounts receivable oversight Intercompany reconciliations Payroll oversight VAT preparation and review

Corporation tax coordination Year-end accounts and audit coordination

Working with external UK accountants, auditors and tax advisers

Ensuring appropriate financial controls and approval procedures

Maintaining clean accounting records and audit trails

Developing finance policies, procedures and reporting packs

Creating dashboards and management information for shareholders Improving existing accounting systems and implementing better processes

Reviewing accounting software and integrations

Establishing clear responsibility for each company within the group





Managing deadlines for statutory accounts, VAT, payroll, tax and other filings

Supporting senior management with commercial and financial analysis

Building the finance department so it can operate independently and reliably

UK Experience Required

This role requires strong knowledge of UK accounting and finance.

Candidates should understand, or have significant experience working with:

UK GAAP Companies House requirements

HMRC reporting UK corporation tax VAT PAYE and payroll Statutory accounts Management accounts Audit processes Group and intercompany accounting UK banking and payment controls Experience working directly with UK companies or UK-based clients is highly desirable.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a senior finance qualified who is: A qualified Chartered Accountant / CA Ideally 8–15+ years post-qualification experience Experienced in managing finance across multiple entities Comfortable working directly with shareholders and senior management Capable of managing and challenging existing finance staff Hands-on enough to understand the underlying accounts Strong in systems, controls and reporting Commercially minded Highly organised Able to work independently Comfortable taking ownership Excellent written and spoken English Able to communicate clearly and confidently with UK-based management, accountants, auditors, banks and advisers

Particularly Valuable Experience

We would especially like to meet candidates who have: Managed the finance function of a UK group Worked for a UK accounting practice, outsourced finance company or UK multinational Managed property, construction,



housing or real-estate accounts Experience with multiple legal entities Built or reorganised a finance department Migrated finance functions into India Implemented accounting systems and financial controls Managed a small team of accountants beneath them Worked with Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Dynamics or similar accounting platforms The Person We Want

We are not looking for somebody who simply prepares accounts. We want somebody who can take ownership of the entire finance function. You should be capable of entering an existing operation, understanding what is currently being done, identifying weaknesses, taking control of the financial reporting and then building a structured department around yourself.

The successful candidate must have the ambition and drive to build something long-term. This is an opportunity to become the senior finance leader for an established and growing international group.

First 90 Days Within the first 30 days, you will be expected to: Review all current group companies and accounting processes Understand the existing finance team and responsibilities Review accounting systems, bank accounts, reporting and controls Identify any immediate financial or compliance risks Establish a group finance reporting calendar

Within 60 days: Take control of monthly group reporting Establish consistent management accounts Improve cash-flow and treasury reporting Implement clear financial controls Begin restructuring responsibilities within the finance function

Within 90 days: Have the finance function operating under your control Have clear processes and ownership for every company

Have established reporting packs and dashboards Have identified and recruited any additional finance staff required Present a longer-term finance department structure and improvement plan Working Arrangement This is a full-time, office-based position in Chandigarh/Mohali. This is not a remote or hybrid role.

Compensation ₹24,00,000–₹42,00,000 per annum CTC Higher compensation may be considered for an exceptional candidate with substantial UK finance experience.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
