About the Role

Bayspro is looking for a graphic design professional who enjoys teaching, sharing ideas and helping beginners develop their skills.

You will teach our Qualified Certificate in Graphic Design & Visual Communication courses Bayspro Calicut - covering design fundamentals, branding, advertising, digital content, professional design software and AI-assisted creative workflows.

We need candidates who can do more than demonstrate software. You should be able to explain why a layout works, help a student improve an idea and guide them towards a portfolio they can confidently present to an employer or client.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach design fundamentals: Help students understand composition, colour, typography, visual hierarchy, layout and visual communication.
- Conduct practical software training: Deliver hands-on sessions in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, with introductory exposure to Figma, Canva and relevant AI-assisted workflows.
- Guide projects from brief to completion: Support students with research, concept development and execution across branding, posters, social media campaigns, brochures and other communication materials.
- Give useful, individual feedback: Conduct critiques, review assignments and help students improve their work through revisions rather than simply completing an exercise.
- Develop student portfolios: Guide project selection, refinement, case-study preparation and presentation. Help students explain their design decisions and individual contributions.
- Manage classroom delivery and assessment: Prepare lesson materials, follow the course schedule, assess work using the prescribed criteria and maintain attendance, submission and progress records.
- Teach professional working practices: Introduce file organisation, print and digital output preparation,



client communication, deadlines, asset attribution and responsible AI use.

What We Are Looking For A strong design portfolio Your work should demonstrate sound judgement in typography, layout, branding and visual communication. Agency, in-house or freelance design experience is relevant.

Practical command of the core tools

You should be confident working in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, including preparing editable files and suitable print and digital outputs.

The ability to teach beginners

You should be able to break down a process, demonstrate it clearly and patiently support students with different learning speeds.

An interest in mentoring

We value someone who encourages questions, gives constructive feedback and helps students develop their own ideas rather than copy references.

Professional reliability

Good preparation, clear communication, organised working files and the ability to meet teaching and assessment deadlines are important.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience A degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Communication Design, Applied Art, Fine Arts or a related discipline is preferred. Candidates with a strong professional portfolio and relevant practical experience may also be considered.

Previous teaching, training or mentoring experience is an advantage, but practising designers with a genuine interest in teaching are welcome to apply.

Working knowledge of Figma, Canva and AI-assisted design tools will be useful. The Figma component is introductory; advanced UI/UX specialisation is not required.

The ability to explain concepts comfortably in English and Malayalam will be an advantage.

What Success Looks Like

Your students should be able to understand a brief, develop an idea, produce technically sound artwork, respond to feedback and present their work clearly. The aim is to build independent design ability—not just familiarity with software commands.

Pay: Up to ₹40,000.00 per month
