- Adobe PageMaker: Necessary for handling legacy typesetting files and basic text layouts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and format layouts for publishing and commercial printing projects, including books, calendars, leaflets, business cards, and standees.
- Prepare print-ready files by setting correct bleeds, crop marks, margins, and CMYK color profiles.
- Select appropriate document setups for specific formats, including Demy and A4 sizes.
- Adapt designs for various physical mediums, ranging from standard paper weights (70 GSM maplitho to 300 GSM) to large-format materials like Star Flex and Eco Sol vinyl.
- Account for post-press finishing requirements in the design phase, ensuring layouts accommodate perfect binding, grommet eyelids, and matte or gloss lamination.
- Ensure all final files meet the technical specifications of external printing presses to prevent production delays.
