Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) – Design Engineering

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and analytical Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) to join our Design Engineering team. The role includes a structured training period across manufacturing, assembly, quality, and service functions to build a solid understanding of Injection Molding Machines (IMM), followed by a transition into a Mechanical Design Engineer role.

Training Exposure

During the initial training period, you will gain hands-on exposure to:

- Machine assembly and manufacturing operations
- Hydraulic, electrical, and control systems
- Quality inspection and machine testing
- Service, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities

Key Responsibilities After Training (Design Engineering)

- Design and develop components and sub-assemblies for Injection Molding Machines.
- Create 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and assembly layouts.
- Perform basic engineering calculations and FEA for critical components.
- Generate and maintain Engineering BOMs and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with production, sourcing, and assembly teams to improve manufacturability and product performance.
- Support root cause analysis, design improvements, and engineering change implementation.

Candidate Profile

Education

- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Production Engineering (recent graduates or final-year students).

Technical Skills

- Exposer to Creo, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX, or similar CAD software.
- Basic knowledge of FEA and engineering analysis tools.
- Strong fundamentals in machine design, strength of materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.;
