About PRiSM Learning / e-GMAT
PRiSM Learning is the company behind e-GMAT , the brand that pioneered online GMAT prep and remains the #1 prep company in the category: 3,000+ reviews on GMAT Club at a 4.7 rating, more than three times the reviews of any competitor.
Founded by alumni of IIT Delhi and BITS Pilani, e-GMAT was built at the intersection of learning science, pedagogy, data and technology. Our co-founder Payal Tandon, the world's #1 GMAT instructor, has guided tens of thousands of students to their target scores. Rather than scaling through more instructors, we encoded her pedagogy into AI-powered products. Over the last five years, e-GMAT has sent more students to M7 business schools and ISB than any other prep company in the world.
We serve 10,000+ paying students a year with a team of 10. Our vision is to reach 5,000,000+ students over the next four to five years, across every competitive exam: GMAT, GRE, SAT, ACT, IELTS, GATE and more.
Why this role exists
Some of the most effective teaching e-GMAT has ever done happened live, in front of hundreds of students at once. We are bringing live sessions back, and this time we are building them properly: a library of sessions worth repeating, each with a clear learning promise, a real teaching payoff, and a concrete next step on the platform.
You will own that program end to end: what we teach, who shows up, and what they do next. The audience is not only prospective students. More than 1,700 paid students are active on the platform every month, and around 4,000 more are exploring it on free trials. Your sessions are how those students get an expert in the room at the moment they are stuck. You will also carry the subject-matter side of our social content, the videos and articles where a real expert explains something real.
This is a GMAT role today. SAT has launched, and GRE and ACT are next on the roadmap; the program grows with them.
The one thing we care about most
Clarity of expression, on camera. A student watching you, live or recorded, should leave understanding something they did not understand before, and holding a question they can ask themselves next time. You visualise an argument so an audience can picture it. You trace a solution one step at a time. You are confident and engaging on screen without a script in your hand. Everything else in this posting follows from this.
This role isn't for everyone
You are the face of e-GMAT's live teaching. When a session is thin, the audience knows. When the promise does not match the content, they do not come back. When registrations fall short, you do not wait for someone else to fix it.
This role is for you if:
- You love teaching to a room, and you are positive at it
- You have built something people chose to watch, attend or read: a channel, a community, a course, a following
- You want the result of your sessions measured: who came, who stayed, who acted
- You want to reason from funnel data and change what you do because of it
- You want AI systems producing the first draft so your hours go to judgment,
delivery and quality
This role is NOT for you if:
- You are uncomfortable on camera, or being recorded, reviewed and coached by the founders
- You want to publish and move on rather than find out whether it worked
- You are afraid of data, or of the technology the sessions run on
- You accept AI output you have not checked, or you refuse to use AI at all
- You measure success in sessions delivered or views collected rather than in students who progressed
What you'll do
- Design and deliver live sessions. Build a library of sessions, each with a learning promise, a teaching payoff and a next exercise on the platform. Deliver them live, on a regular cadence, to our paid students and to prospects alike, and refine them from what the audience does.
- Own the promise. Decide what each session is about and for whom, and write the title and description that get the right students to register. The marketing team distributes; you decide what is worth distributing.
- Get attendees onto the platform. Every session ends in a concrete next step. You work with product to make that step visible and with the team to see who took it.
- Carry the subject-matter side of social. Videos, articles and carousels where an expert explains something correctly and memorably. You produce with AI tools and you are accountable for every claim.
- Read the data and iterate. Compare what worked with what did not, say why, change the next one, and check whether the change helped. Register a shortfall early and act on it.
- Run the AI operations of your content. Review and correct generated drafts, flag errors and gaps, write the procedures that make the next draft better, and keep a human standard on everything that ships.
- Capture success. Interview successful students and turn their stories into content others can learn from.
How you'll be evaluated What we measure and What good looks like
1. Attendance Of the students who register for your sessions, a high share show up
2. Activation Of those who attend, a high share come onto the platform and do the next exercise
3. Benefit to paid students Paid students who attend your sessions practise more and progress further afterwards than those who do not
4. Session quality Sampled recordings meet our rubric: concrete promise, correct subject matter, audience understanding checked, next step given
5. Content that moves students Your videos and articles lead to registrations and platform activity, not just views
6. Accuracy Nothing you publish contains a material subject error
7. Iteration You change sessions and creative from data, and you can say what changed and why
Registrations are a shared outcome with the marketing team.
Sales are closed by others. You are measured on what happens between a student registering and a student acting, and on whether our paying students learn more because you were there.
Compensation
- Base: ₹30 lakhs.
- Bonus: significant, tied to the outcomes in the table above. Attendance, activation, benefit to paid students and accuracy drive it. Session counts and views do not.
- Location: Bangalore, in-office.
Who you are It would be great if you have one of these:
- GMAT Focus Edition: 685 or higher, or
- Classic GMAT: 740 or higher, or
- SAT: 1520 or higher, or
- GRE: 99th percentile, or
- CAT: 99.7 percentile or higher
Not having one of these does not rule you out. What follows matters more.
Beyond the score:
- You explain with clarity, on camera. See the section above. This is the first thing we test, and it is the same test our one-to-one experts take, because the depth is the same.
- You know your audience. You can say who a session is for, what problem they actually have, and why this session solves it. You can tell the angle that helps the learner from the angle that flatters the presenter.
- You read funnels. Click, registration, attendance and activation are different numbers with different denominators, and you do not confuse them or infer a cause from an outcome label.
- You judge generated content. Shown a good solution and a bad one, you know which is which and why. You use AI heavily and you catch what it gets wrong.
- You own the outcome. When numbers fall short, you ask for the right data, name the bottleneck, act, and set a checkpoint.
- You are a self-learner, dedicated to learning AI, and coachable. You improve visibly after feedback on your delivery.
Why e-GMAT
- You help students succeed, at scale. One good session reaches hundreds of students who need exactly that explanation that week, drawn from more than 1,700 paid students active every month and thousands more on free trials. Few teaching roles let one person move that many learners at once.
- You become a brand in yourself. Students will know your name, look for your sessions, and quote your explanations. That reputation is yours.
- You inherit a stage with a standard. Our founders' live sessions have drawn hundreds of students at a time. You take that responsibility forward and make it a program.
- You see your results. Who came, who acted, after every session.
- Students credit their teachers by name. Recent GMAT Club reviews name our mentors individually alongside 655 to 705 scores. Your sessions become your reputation.
- Founders who teach. Coaching on your recorded sessions from the people who built the pedagogy.
- AI does the first draft. Our Claude-powered tools produce material; you bring the judgment and the presence.
- A path. The program grows with the business - GMAT and SAT now, GRE and ACT next - and the person who builds it leads it.
