Machine Operation & Setup

- Set up gluing machines for each job according to job cards, specifications, and approved samples. Setup includes adhesive type, application pattern, temperature, pressure, and speed.
- Load and unload reels or blanks, and align material for accurate glue placement and registration.
- Prepare and mix adhesives (hot melt, cold glue, water-based, solvent-based, or solventless) in the correct ratios and viscosities, following supplier and company guidelines.
- Monitor machine parameters during the run and adjust them to keep quality and output consistent.
- Carry out job changeovers efficiently to reduce downtime and material wastage.

Quality Control

- Perform first-piece approval and in-process checks for glue position, bond strength, seal integrity, dimensions, and appearance.
- Detect and correct defects such as glue smearing, skips, weak bonds, misalignment, wrinkles, and contamination.
- Conduct basic tests such as peel/bond strength checks, visual inspection, and curing checks, and record the results.
- Segregate and tag non-conforming material, and report quality issues to the supervisor or QA team immediately.
- Make sure finished goods match the customer's artwork, specifications, and packing instructions.

Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain accurate production logs, including output quantity, wastage, downtime, adhesive consumption, and batch or lot numbers.
- Record quality check results and machine settings in line with ISO/BRC/FSSC traceability requirements.
- Hand over shift status, pending jobs, and machine issues clearly to the next shift.





Maintenance & Housekeeping

- Perform daily cleaning of glue tanks, nozzles, rollers, and applicators to prevent buildup and contamination.
- Carry out routine preventive maintenance and lubrication as per the maintenance schedule.
- Identify mechanical or electrical faults early and coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs.
- Maintain 5S standards and a clean, organized work area.

Health, Safety & Hygiene

- Follow safety procedures for handling adhesives, solvents, and hot melt systems, including correct use of PPE.
- Adhere to food-grade hygiene and GMP practices, since many products are used for food and pharmaceutical packaging.
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures during cleaning and maintenance.
- Report near misses, unsafe conditions, and incidents promptly.

The company will provide the following benefits to the selected candidate:

- Total Relocation Allowance: USD 500 per month, as an estimated relocation support amount provided by the company.
- Food Allowance: USD 250 per month.
- Rent/Accommodation Allowance: USD 250 per month. The candidate's eligible rent/accommodation expenses will be covered by the company.
- Employment Type: Permanent Role.
- Job Location: Tema, Ghana, Africa.
- Air Ticket: The company will bear the cost of the candidate's air ticket for travel/joining to Ghana
