Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Front-End Developer to design, develop, and maintain advanced geospatial web applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in modern front-end technologies along with hands-on experience in GIS platforms, interactive mapping solutions, and spatial data visualization. The candidate will play a critical role in building scalable, high-performance GIS applications that support spatial analysis, decision-making, and enterprise geospatial workflows.

The role requires a blend of JavaScript development expertise, GIS domain knowledge, and experience with up-to-date mapping frameworks such as ArcGIS API for JavaScript, Mapbox GL JS, OpenLayers, and related geospatial technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Front-End Development

- Design and develop responsive GIS web applications using ReactJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern UI frameworks.
- Build reusable UI components and scalable front-end architectures.
- Develop interactive dashboards, map viewers, widgets, and spatial data visualization interfaces.
- Implement responsive and cross-browser-compatible web applications.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and user experience.

GIS Application Development
- Develop web mapping applications using ArcGIS API for JavaScript.
- Integrate GIS services such as:

- Feature Services

- Map Services

- Image Services

- Geoprocessing Services

- Vector Tile Services
- Configure and customize web maps, layers, widgets, and spatial tools.
- Develop GIS workflows for editing, querying, geocoding, routing, and spatial analysis.

- Implement GIS functionalities including

- Buffer Analysis

- Spatial Queries

- Heat Maps

- Clustering

- Geofencing

- Network Analysis

- Utility Network Visualization

Integration & API Development




- Integrate GIS applications with REST APIs and enterprise systems.
- Consume ArcGIS REST Services and third-party APIs.
- Work closely with backend teams to integrate GIS datasets and business workflows.
- Handle JSON, GeoJSON, TopoJSON, and spatial data formats.

Mapping & Spatial Data Management
- Work with vector and raster datasets.
- Develop custom map layers and rendering techniques.
- Manage coordinate systems and projections.
- Handle large spatial datasets efficiently.

Collaboration & Deployment
- Participate in requirement gathering and technical design discussions.
- Collaborate with GIS Analysts, GIS Developers, and Solution Architects.
- Perform code reviews and maintain coding standards.
- Support CI/CD deployment activities.
