Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Engineer role based in Kanke Road, Ranchi. The GIS Engineer will design, develop, and maintain GIS datasets, maps, and spatial databases to support land survey, aerial survey, cadastral revenue records and environmental & forestry projects. Daily responsibilities include processing and analyzing GNSS data, creating thematic and topographic maps, and integrating data from field surveys, drone imagery, and layout preparation.

The role involves collaborating with surveyors, drone pilots, and project managers to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability, as well as preparing reports,



visualizations, and dashboards for internal and client use. The GIS Engineer will also contribute to improving workflows, implementing new GIS applications, and ensuring data standards and best practices are followed.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), including experience with Remote Sensing imagery analysis.
- Ability to work with maps and spatial datasets, including creation, visualization, and interpretation of geospatial information.
- Experience in designing, managing, and querying land and revenue related databases.
- Demonstrated analytical skills for processing, validating, and interpreting complex geospatial and environmental data.
- Proficiency with industry-standard GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and familiarity with remote sensing and CAD tools is beneficial.
- Master’s degree or B. Tech. / B. E. in Geoinformatics, Geography, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Solid attention to detail, documentation skills, and ability to work effectively in cross-functional technical teams.
- Comfort working on-site in field-supportive environments and adaptability to evolving project requirements.
