General Manager – Operations

Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic, highly active and responsible General Manager – Operations to oversee the overall day-to-day operations of our EdTech company.

Our organization delivers skill-development programs to schools , and this role will be responsible for ensuring that our programs are executed smoothly across partner schools.

A major part of the role will involve managing trainers, monitoring their performance, coordinating with schools, and ensuring that every operational activity is running as planned.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership, follows up consistently, solves problems quickly and can lead teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the overall day-to-day operations of the organization.
- Manage and coordinate with trainers delivering programs across partner schools .
- Ensure trainers are following schedules, curriculum, teaching standards and company processes.
- Regularly review trainer performance and quality of program delivery .
- Conduct regular meetings with trainers and operations teams to track progress and resolve issues.
- Ensure smooth coordination between schools, trainers and internal teams .
- Monitor school requirements, complaints and operational issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing partner schools.
- Ensure classes, training sessions, materials and other school requirements are delivered on time.
- Work closely with HR for trainer recruitment, onboarding, allocation and performance management .




- Establish clear processes, reporting systems and accountability across teams.
- Track operational performance through regular reports and reviews.
- Identify gaps in operations and implement practical solutions.
- Handle escalations from schools, trainers and internal teams.
- Ensure high levels of school satisfaction and trainer performance .
- Report key operational updates, challenges and progress to the Directors/Management.
- Take complete ownership of smooth execution across the organization.

Requirements
- Strong leadership and people-management skills .
- Excellent English communication skills – both spoken and written.
- Strong coordination, follow-up and problem-solving abilities.
- Must be active, agile and execution-oriented .
- Ability to manage multiple teams and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong decision-making and conflict-resolution skills.
- Comfortable interacting professionally with Principals, School Management, Trainers and internal teams .
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to create accountability and ensure work is completed within timelines.
- Previous experience in Education, EdTech, School Operations, Training Operations or similar roles is strongly preferred.
- Experience managing a sizeable team would be an advantage.

- The ideal candidate should be someone who actively interacts with teams, checks whether work is happening correctly, follows up until tasks are completed, identifies problems before they become serious and takes complete ownership of operations.
