About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented General Manager – Retail to manage the overall operations of a large-format textile retail showroom.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in textile retail showroom management, with the ability to handle a large team, drive sales, improve customer experience, manage inventory and ensure smooth day-to-day showroom operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the overall operations of the textile retail showroom.
- Lead and manage a large team of sales staff, supervisors and support employees.
- Drive showroom sales and achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Monitor individual and team-wise sales performance.
- Develop strategies to improve sales, customer conversion and average billing value.
- Ensure excellent customer service and customer satisfaction.
- Manage staff allocation, duty schedules, attendance and daily productivity.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
- Monitor showroom stock, inventory movement, replenishment and stock availability.
- Coordinate with purchase, merchandising, accounts and other internal teams.
- Ensure proper display, visual merchandising and presentation of textile products.
- Monitor quick-moving and slow-moving products and take appropriate action.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve escalated issues professionally.
- Ensure discipline,



grooming and professional standards across the showroom.
- Monitor daily sales reports, expenses and operational performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve showroom profitability and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, processes and retail standards.
- Take responsibility for the overall sales, people and operational performance of the showroom.

Candidate Profile

- 8–15 years of relevant experience in retail.
- Must have strong experience in Textile Retail / Textile Showroom operations.
- Experience managing a large retail team is mandatory.
- Should have handled overall showroom operations rather than only individual sales functions.
- Strong knowledge of retail sales, customer management, inventory and team management.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong target orientation and ability to achieve sales objectives.
- Good decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Candidates from textile retail chains, large textile showrooms or similar retail formats are preferred.

Important Requirement Candidates with only textile manufacturing, production, factory, garment production or plant-management experience will not be considered.

Salary

Up to ₹60,000 per month, depending on relevant experience and suitability.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
