Sharda Diesels Private Limited is looking for an experienced and result-oriented General Manager – Production to lead our manufacturing operations at our Tatisilwai Plant, Ranchi.

We are seeking a strong manufacturing leader with extensive experience in production planning, fabrication, assembly, quality, productivity improvement and plant operations.

General Manager – Production

? Location: Tatisilwai Plant, Ranchi, Jharkhand

? Reporting To: Director / Managing Director

? Key Responsibilities

✅ Lead end-to-end manufacturing and production operations

✅ Drive achievement of daily, weekly and monthly production targets

✅ Manage fabrication, welding, canopy manufacturing, painting, DG set assembly, testing and dispatch readiness

✅ Improve productivity, machine utilization and manpower efficiency

✅ Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and 5S

✅ Drive reduction in rejection, rework, scrap and production losses

✅ Coordinate with PPC, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, Sales, Projects and Dispatch

✅ Ensure preventive maintenance coordination and minimum machine downtime

✅ Ensure adherence to quality, safety and statutory requirements

✅ Lead and develop production managers, supervisors and shop-floor teams





✅ Drive cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives

✅ Monitor plant performance through production, productivity, downtime and cost-related MIS

? Candidate Profile

✅ B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering

✅ 15–20 years of manufacturing experience

✅ Minimum 8 years in a senior production leadership role

✅ Experience in DG Set Manufacturing, Heavy Engineering, Sheet Metal, Fabrication, Industrial Equipment, Automobile or Capital Goods will be preferred

✅ Strong knowledge of PPC, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, RCA, CAPA and ISO 9001

✅ Robust leadership, problem-solving and team-management skills

✅ Hands-on experience in shop-floor and plant operations
