General Manager – Human Resources

Location: Navi Mumbai

Experience: 18+ years, with 10+ years in senior HR leadership

Industry Preference: Defence / Shipbuilding / Ship Repair / Heavy Engineering

Reporting To: Director – Analytics & Admin

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced GM – Human Resources to lead the Group HR function across multiple business entities. The role will be responsible for driving the overall people strategy, organizational development, talent management, culture, HR operations, compliance, and leadership development.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement the Group HR strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Partner with the MD, CEO, Board and leadership team on strategic people matters.
- Lead organization design, manpower planning and workforce optimization.
- Drive performance management, succession planning and leadership development.
- Lead talent acquisition, retention, employee engagement and career development initiatives.
- Own HR budgets, compensation & benefits and workforce cost optimization.
- Ensure HR policies, statutory compliance, employee relations and governance across entities.
- Drive culture building,



change management and organizational transformation.
- Lead HR digitization through HRMS, people analytics, dashboards and automation.
- Develop Group-wide Learning & Development initiatives, including a skill development academy for the blue-collar workforce.
- Lead and develop HR Heads / Business HR teams across business units.
- Build a strong employer brand and people-first culture.

Desired Profile

- MBA/PGDM in HR from a reputed B-school.
- 18+ years of overall HR experience, with 10+ years in a senior HR leadership / Group HR / Business HR Head role.
- Solid experience in multi-entity and complex business environments.
- Proven exposure to transformation, restructuring, organization development and talent strategy.
- Experience in Shipbuilding, Ship Repair, Defence or Heavy Engineering preferred.
- Strong business acumen, leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in HR analytics, HR technology, compliance, PMS, C&B; and L&D.;

Pay: ₹1,800,000.00 - ₹2,400,000.00 per year
