Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Lead to lead a large-scale transformation program involving the migration of Data Bricks / SAS-based data platforms, ETL processes, reporting solutions, and analytical workloads to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using DBT. The role requires strong leadership, data engineering expertise, stakeholder management skills, and hands-on experience in cloud-based data modernization initiatives.

The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end delivery, technical governance, migration strategy, architectural oversight, and successful execution of multiple workstreams across business and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

Program Delivery

- Lead end-to-end delivery of Data Bricks / SAS to GCP migration programs.
- Define migration roadmap, delivery approach, and execution strategy.
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, and resource allocation.
- Ensure timely delivery of migration milestones and business objectives.
- Drive Agile delivery and release management processes.

Technical Leadership

- Provide technical direction for migration from SAS datasets, SAS ETL, SAS macros, and reporting solutions.
- Review and approve solution architectures, data models, and transformation designs.
- Establish migration standards, coding standards, and best practices.
- Guide teams on cloud-native architecture and modernization opportunities.

Data Engineering Oversight

- Oversee development of data pipelines using GCP services and DBT.




- Ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions.
- Lead design reviews for data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and reporting layers.
- Drive implementation of data quality, lineage, and reconciliation frameworks.

Stakeholder Management

- Act as the primary technical point of contact for business and technology stakeholders.
- Collaborate with architecture, regulatory, risk, compliance, and operational teams.
- Present project status, risks, and technical recommendations to senior leadership.
- Manage vendor and third-party engagements.

Governance & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with banking regulatory requirements, GDPR, BCBS239, and internal governance policies.
- Establish audit-ready documentation and migration traceability.
- Manage architecture review boards and design approvals.
- Drive data governance and security best practices.

Quality Assurance & Testing

- Oversee SIT, UAT, reconciliation, and production validation activities.
- Ensure migrated outputs meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Drive defect management and production readiness assessments.

Team Leadership

- Lead and mentor data architects, DBT developers, data engineers, QA teams, and business analysts.
- Support workforce planning, capability development,



and delivery excellence initiatives.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Required Experience

- 12+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in technical delivery leadership roles.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale data migration and modernization programs.
- Solid experience in Data Bricks / SAS to Cloud migration initiatives.
- Experience leading multi-pod delivery teams (20+ resources).
- Hands-on experience with DBT and modern cloud data platforms.
- Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance domains.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and data governance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

- Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer Certification.
- DBT Certification.
- PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile Certification.
- Experience with banking regulatory reporting and risk data platforms.
- Knowledge of BCBS239, IFRS9, AML, and GDPR frameworks.
