Role & Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive GI consultations for conditions including GERD, IBD, IBS, liver disease, and pancreatic disorders with accurate differential diagnosis and personalized care plans.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures—esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)—with strict adherence to safety, sterility, and reporting standards.
- Collaborate with surgeons, hepatologists, radiologists, and nutritionists to co-manage complex cases and ensure continuity of care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Interpret and act on advanced imaging and lab results (CT/MRI enterography, stool calprotectin, liver elastography, genetic panels) to guide treatment and referrals.
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems, maintain procedure logs, and comply with NABH/JCI-aligned clinical governance protocols.




- Lead patient education initiatives and contribute to quality improvement projects aimed at reducing readmissions, improving diagnostic yield, and enhancing patient satisfaction scores.

Skills & Qualifications

- Must-Have
- DNB/DM Gastroenterology or equivalent super-specialty qualification from NMC-recognized institutions
- Active NMC registration with valid license to practice in India
- Proficiency in upper GI endoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, and polypectomy
- Experience with advanced endoscopic procedures: ERCP, EUS, variceal banding, and foreign body removal
- Ability to interpret and correlate radiological and liver function test results for clinical decision-making
- Fluency in English and Hindi (or regional language of practice location)

- Preferred
- Experience with capsule endoscopy or double-balloon enteroscopy
- Publication or presentation at national GI conferences
- Training or fellowship in therapeutic endoscopy or hepatology
