Key Responsibility Areas API Development and Integration (primary focus of the role)

- Design, develop and maintain RESTful APIs in C# / .NET that are consumed by other internal applications, digital channels and vendor platforms.
- Build and maintain API integrations between newly developed applications and existing HLF systems, to fetch and pass information in both directions.
- Implement and support webhook-based integrations, including event publishing, subscriber handling, retries, idempotency and failure handling.
- Define and document API contracts endpoints, request and response payloads, error codes, authentication and versioning and keep this documentation current for consuming teams.
- Apply secure coding and API security practices, including authentication and authorisation, token handling, input validation, encryption in transit, and ensuring sensitive customer data is not exposed in payloads or logs. Enhancements to Existing Applications
- Analyse existing applications to understand current logic, data flows and interfaces, and implement modifications without disrupting live business operations.
- Assess the impact of proposed changes on dependent systems and interfaces, and flag technical risks and dependencies early to the Delivery and Product teams. Front-End and Database Development
- Develop and modify screens and components in Angular where an initiative requires front-end changes.
- Write and tune SQL objects — queries, stored procedures, views and functions — and support data model changes required by new functionality.
- Ensure query performance, data integrity and correct transaction handling across application and database layers. Quality, Testing and Release Support
- Write and maintain unit tests for all code delivered, and ensure adequate coverage before handover to QA and UAT.
- Participate in code reviews and follow agreed coding standards, version control and branching discipline.
- Support SIT, UAT and go-live activities, including deployment support, smoke testing and post-release stabilisation. Collaboration and Documentation • Work with internal application development teams and external vendor teams to agree interface design, integration approach,



sequencing and delivery timelines.
- Translate business requirements and BRDs into technical designs and effort estimates, raising gaps and ambiguities with the Product and Business teams rather than assuming intent.
- Maintain technical documentation covering design notes, interface specifications, configuration and deployment steps, and known issues.
- Coordinate with IT Infrastructure and Information Security teams on environment provisioning, access, and security review or remediation requirements.

Technical Skills &

Experience Must Have

- 3 to 8 years of hands-on software development experience.
- Strong C# / .NET (.NET Core and / or .NET Framework) with demonstrable experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs. This forms the core of the role.
- Practical experience with API integration and webhook-based integration patterns, including authentication mechanisms (OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys) and payload formats (JSON, XML).
- Working knowledge of Angular (TypeScript, HTML, CSS) sufficient to develop and enhance front-end components.
- Working knowledge of SQL, preferably MS SQL Server — complex queries, joins, stored procedures, indexing and basic performance tuning.
- Unit testing using standard frameworks (NUnit, xUnit or MSTest) and version control using SVN, Git or Azure DevOps.
- Demonstrated debugging and troubleshooting ability across integrated systems, including issues originating outside one's own code. Good to Have
- Exposure to cloud services (Azure or AWS), CI/CD pipelines and containerisation.
- Experience with API gateways, middleware or integration platforms, and message queues.
- Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools for application support.

- Exposure to BFSI or NBFC applications such as loan origination, collections, CRM or payments, or to working in a regulated environment.





Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.

- 3 to 8 years of relevant full stack or backend application development experience.
- Domain knowledge of NBFC or lending products is not a prerequisite. Candidates will be assessed primarily on technical depth, problem-solving ability and demonstrated speed of learning a new business domain.
