We're Hiring: Full-Stack Engineer (Node.js, TypeScript, AWS)

Location: Remote

Schedule: Full-Time | US Eastern/Central Time overlap, coverage until 1 PM EST.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our team. You’ll mainly work on our backend infrastructure, including serverless APIs, data pipelines, and integrations that power our customer identity resolution platform. You’ll also build React interfaces for our customers.

You’ll work directly with our CEO to turn business requirements into reliable, scalable systems. You’ll have a high level of ownership and will be expected to make technical and architectural decisions independently.

Most of the work is backend-focused, but you’ll own features from end to end — from the API and database to the React interface.

You’ll work on complex systems such as data pipelines, third-party integrations, webhooks, and analytics. You’ll also help improve our backend patterns, engineering standards, and overall system reliability.

What You'll Do

- Build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS Lambda
- Make technical decisions around data models, APIs, system design, and reliability
- Build merchant-facing dashboards, settings, and reporting pages using React and TypeScript
- Work with the CEO to understand product requirements and suggest practical technical solutions
- Set and maintain backend coding standards and best practices
- Build and improve data pipelines for processing customer data at scale
- Integrate with third-party platforms such as Shopify, Meta, Google Ads, Klaviyo, and payment providers
- Review code and help maintain good engineering practices across the team
- Improve application performance, database queries, and AWS costs
- Write tests to keep the code reliable and maintainable
- Monitor system performance and fix issues before they become bigger problems
- Set up proper error handling, logging, and alerts
- Support deployments, monitoring, and troubleshooting in production




- Stay up to date with AWS and modern backend technologies

Requirements

- 3+ years of hands-on experience building production applications with Node.js and TypeScript
- Strong experience with serverless architecture using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and related AWS services
- Strong experience with SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB), including data modeling and query optimization
- Positive understanding of event-driven systems, message queues, and asynchronous processing using SQS, SNS, or EventBridge
- Working experience with React and TypeScript. You should be able to build and maintain production UI without supervision
- Experience building and using REST APIs
- Good understanding of authentication methods such as OAuth, JWT, and API keys
- Strong experience integrating with third-party APIs and platforms
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Serverless Framework, AWS CDK, or Terraform
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, and modern deployment practices
- Experience writing backend tests and maintaining code quality
- Understanding of monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as CloudWatch or Datadog
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- Available for 4–5 hours of overlap with US Eastern Time
- Strong written and spoken English

Nice to Have
- Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, or BigCommerce
- Experience with advertising APIs such as Meta Marketing API or Google Ads API
- Experience building data or analytics pipelines
- Experience with identity resolution, customer data platforms, or marketing attribution
- Experience with Next.js, Tailwind, or component libraries such as shadcn/ui
- Experience building dashboards or analytics interfaces for large datasets

What Success Looks Like

First 30 Days

- Understand the product, codebase, and key workflows.
- Learn the current backend architecture, databases, and AWS setup.
- Understand how features are developed, tested, and deployed.




- Set up your local development environment and start shipping small changes.
- Identify areas of the codebase that need improvement or have technical risks.

First 60 Days
- Take ownership of backend features and improvements.
- Build and ship features across the API, database, and React interface.
- Improve existing APIs, data pipelines, and integrations where needed.
- Identify and fix performance, reliability, and scalability issues.
- Contribute to better coding standards, testing, and development processes.

First 90 Days
- Own key features from technical planning through production.
- Ship reliable backend and full-stack features with minimal supervision.
- Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Identify and address technical issues before they become bigger problems.
- Help establish consistent engineering patterns and best practices.
- Work independently with the CEO to turn product requirements into practical technical solutions.
