THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a motivated Full Stack Developer Intern who wants to move beyond classroom exercises and contribute to meaningful, real-world development projects. This opportunity is suitable for a final-year student or recent graduate with strong technical foundations, curiosity and the discipline required to succeed in a remote working environment.

You will contribute across the application stack, working with Python, React, SQL databases, APIs and secure-development practices. You will have opportunities to solve practical problems, develop production-oriented features and strengthen your understanding of how modern digital products are designed, built, tested and improved.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop and maintain responsive web-application features using React
- Build backend services and application logic using Python
- Design, query and manage SQL databases
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and third-party services
- Implement authentication, authorisation, input validation and other security controls
- Identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical defects
- Write clear, maintainable and appropriately documented code
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and development planning
- Test features across the frontend, backend, database and API layers
- Collaborate effectively with the team in a remote working environment
- Take responsibility for assigned work, deadlines and technical quality

ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL SKILLS

Applicants must demonstrate a practical foundation in:

- Python development




- React and modern JavaScript
- SQL and relational databases
- REST API development and integration
- Web-application security and secure coding principles
- HTML and CSS fundamentals
- Debugging, problem-solving and logical thinking

Professional experience is not essential. However, candidates must be able to demonstrate practical knowledge of the essential technologies through projects, code samples or technical assessments. Possible extension or conversion to a full-time position, subject to performance and business requirements

SELECTION PROCESS

Our recruitment process has three stages:

1. Coding Assessment: An assessment of core programming, problem-solving and technical fundamentals.
2. Live Coding and Technical Interview: A live technical exercise followed by questions about your approach, decisions and understanding of full-stack development.
3. Management Interview: A discussion covering motivation, communication, professional expectations, availability and alignment with Cognisphere’s working culture.
