About ALP

ALP Tech (Angel Lane Partners LLC-FZ) is a quantitative finance, data, and AI consulting firm. We build and deliver platforms across risk, regulatory, and portfolio-optimisation domains for GCC financial institutions — banks, asset managers, and corporate treasury — and for UK clients, with coverage across the GCC and UK plus an India Delivery Centre in Bengaluru.

The role

We are hiring a full stack developer to build and own the client-facing platforms that sit on top of ALP's data and AI systems. This is a hands-on technical role spanning frontend, backend, database, and deployment work — covering application architecture, API design, UI implementation, and running production services across cloud environments. You will work directly with GCC banking clients, with regular travel to the region.

Responsibilities

- Design, build and own end-to-end features across frontend and backend for client platforms
- Build responsive, production-quality UIs (React/TypeScript) for dashboards, workflows, and reporting tools
- Design and implement APIs and backend services in Python (FastAPI/Flask)
- Design and evolve PostgreSQL schemas and queries powering the application layer
- Integrate AI/ML and data components — including LLM-based features — into client-facing product surfaces
- Own CI/CD pipelines and deployment across multiple cloud environments for the applications you build
- Partner directly with GCC banking clients to gather requirements and validate delivered features
- Raise the bar: code review, testing discipline, performance, and reproducibility

Requirements

- 2–5 years of experience as a full stack or product engineer
- BS/MS/PhD in computational science, physics, mathematics,



or engineering or equivalent demonstrated depth
- Robust frontend engineering ability — React/TypeScript preferred
- Strong backend engineering ability in Python, ideally with FastAPI or Flask
- Solid SQL and relational database design; PostgreSQL preferred
- Hands-on experience building and owning CI/CD pipelines
- Working understanding of multi-cloud deployment (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Comfortable owning a feature end to end, from data model through to UI and deployment
- Comfortable working directly with financial-services or other enterprise clients
- Willing and able to travel to the GCC approximately 30–50% of the time
- Able to join within a 1-month notice period
- Comfortable working in a startup/consulting environment with high ownership and agency

Nice to have

- Exposure to LLM/AI integration — vector databases, RAG, embeddings (e.g. pgvector, LanceDB)
- Experience with banking or financial-services products: risk, regulatory, treasury, or portfolio domains
- Infrastructure-as-code experience (e.g. Terraform) across cloud providers
- Prior experience delivering to GCC-region clients
