About AQSoft

AQSoft is the technology arm of AQKODE Healthcare Solutions, a US healthcare revenue cycle management company serving physician groups across hospitals and skilled nursing facilities. Our software runs AQKODE’s daily operations: encounter tracking and coding across 100+ facilities, AI-assisted medical coding and chart auditing, physician performance and compensation, and denials management. You’ll build products that a large operations team and US clients rely on every day.

The ROLE

Requirements here don’t arrive as a finished document. You’ll work directly with the people who have the problem, such as medical coders, billers, denials specialists and operations managers, and take it from their description to a working solution in production. You own the full chain, from understanding the problem to standing behind the accuracy of what ships. if this is what excites you, you are in the right place.

Our products encode real healthcare expertise. Our AI-assisted medical coding tool, for example, gives coders suggestions they rely on daily. Building it meant reading deeply into coding rules, experimenting extensively with AI models, and testing against how experienced coders actually work until the output could be trusted. That’s the standard for everything we build.

Must have

- 3–6 years of qualified software engineering experience, including at least one product you built largely yourself and took to production.
- Strong C#/.NET and SQL (SQL Server or PostgreSQL): schema design, query optimisation, stored procedures.
- React with TypeScript for building complete, usable applications.
- Building and integrating REST APIs, third-party services and internal systems, including authentication, error handling, retries, logging and monitoring.
- Multi-user, multi-tenant applications with role-based access control, audit logging and secure handling of sensitive data.
- Data-pipeline and automation experience: importing, validating and reconciling large, messy files (CSV, Excel, PDF) with proper error handling and reprocessing, plus background jobs, schedulers, queues and report generation.




- Healthcare experience is a plus; the ability and willingness to learn healthcare workflows is mandatory. That means putting in the extra effort to understand the product, the requirement and the industry independently, through reading, experimenting and asking the right people.
- Clear written and spoken English.

And at least two of:

- Working proficiency in Python for data processing and AI integration.
- Production experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini or equivalent): structured outputs, prompt design, and handling wrong or low-confidence results through validation, confidence scoring, human review and model fallback.
- Docker, Linux and CI/CD (GitHub Actions or similar).

Strong advantage

- US healthcare data: X12 EDI 835/837, ERAs/EOBs, CPT/ICD-10/HCC coding, claims, denials or A/R workflows.
- HIPAA-aware engineering and working with PHI.
- OCR and document AI, including handwritten text extraction or self-hosted models (e.g., vLLM).
- RAG, embeddings and vector search, model-output evaluation, and prompt/version management.
- RPA or browser automation (Playwright, Selenium, UiPath or similar).
- Experience in fintech, payroll, billing, insurance or other reconciliation-heavy domains.

What you’ll do

- Understand manual workflows in detail by working alongside operations teams, and decide what to automate and what needs human judgement.
- Automate manual work, such as scheduled client reports, background processing and payer-portal automation.
- Learn the healthcare domain as you go, including medical coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCC), billing, claims, denials and payer remittances, well enough to challenge a requirement.
- Design and build complete solutions, including data models, APIs, import pipelines, business logic, user interfaces and automation.
- Turn messy real-world inputs (handwritten sheets, scanned documents, payer files, hospital exports) into clean,



reconciled, trustworthy data.
- Experiment with AI models, prompts and extraction methods until results are reliable, and build safeguards for when they’re not.
- Build automated tests and validation for critical business logic, data pipelines and AI-assisted outputs.
- Validate your work with the people who use it, and keep improving it after release.
- Deploy, monitor and support what you build: investigate failures, analyse logs and metrics, and own incidents through to the fix.
- Document your systems clearly enough that someone else can run them.

What success looks like in six months

- You can independently take a business workflow and translate it into a working technical solution.
- You have shipped multiple production features that operations teams use every day.
- You have taken at least one AI or data-automation workflow into production.
- You can debug issues across frontend, backend, database and infrastructure.
- You understand the healthcare workflows behind the products you work on.
- You spot repetitive manual work and eliminate it without compromising accuracy or controls.

This role is not for you if

- You prefer working from detailed specifications written by someone else.
- You want to own only one layer (frontend, backend or QA) and hand the rest off.
- You need close day-to-day supervision to make progress.
