Playbao is looking for energetic, customer-focused Cafe Staff to join our food services team. The role combines food preparation, customer service, store operations, and sales . The ideal candidate should enjoy interacting with customers, understand their preferences, and confidently recommend food and beverage options that enhance their experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation & Hygiene

- Prepare food and beverage items according to Playbao's recipes, quality standards, and portion guidelines.
- Ensure food is prepared, stored, and served safely and hygienically.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, preparation areas, counters, and dining areas.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
- Check the quality and freshness of ingredients and products.

Customer Service
- Welcome customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient service.
- Take customer orders accurately and process them through the appropriate systems.
- Understand customer requirements and provide suitable food and beverage recommendations.
- Ensure orders are prepared and served accurately and on time.
- Handle customer questions, feedback, and basic complaints professionally.
- Create a positive and welcoming experience for customers and Playbao guests.

Sales & Upselling
- Actively contribute to the cafe's sales and revenue targets.




- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell food and beverage items.
- Recommend suitable add-ons, combos, upgrades, and complementary products based on customer preferences.
- Proactively suggest products that customers may enjoy rather than simply taking orders.
- Communicate promotions, new products, and special offers to customers.
- Use product knowledge to make relevant and appealing recommendations.
- Help increase average order value through effective and customer-friendly selling techniques.

Store Operations
- Maintain proper stock levels and inform supervisors when items need to be replenished.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
- Follow cash-handling and billing procedures where applicable.
- Support inventory checks and minimize food wastage.
- Work closely with other cafe and Playbao team members to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements
- Previous experience in a cafe, restaurant, food service, retail, or customer-facing role is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, energetic, and customer-oriented personality.
- Comfortable interacting with children, parents, families, and other Playbao guests.




- Good understanding of food products and willingness to learn the menu.
- Strong upselling and recommendation skills .
- Ability to understand customer needs and make appropriate product suggestions.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays when required.
