About the Role

We are looking for a Food & Nutraceutical Content Writer & QC Specialist to join our team at IIT Madras.

The candidate will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and quality-checking content across R&D;, software, and marketing functions. The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Nutraceuticals, or a related field, along with strong writing and research skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and edit scientific and technical content related to food and nutraceuticals.
- Prepare R&D; content, research summaries, technical documents, ingredient profiles, and product-related content.
- Create content for software platforms and digital products in the food and nutraceutical domain.
- Develop marketing content for websites, blogs, product pages, brochures, presentations, and social media.
- Conduct research using scientific journals, databases, and reliable sources.
- Review content for scientific accuracy, clarity, grammar, spelling, and consistency.

Perform detailed Quality Control (QC) of technical, R&D;, software, and marketing content.

- Identify and correct factual errors, inconsistencies, and gaps in content.
- Review nutritional, functional,



and health-related claims for accuracy and appropriate supporting evidence.
- Convert complex scientific concepts into simple, clear, and engaging content.
- Work closely with R&D;, Product, Marketing, and Technology teams.
- Maintain QC checklists, documentation, and content review processes.
- Ensure all content is delivered accurately and within deadlines.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Food Science / Food Technology / Nutrition / Nutraceuticals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong scientific and technical writing ability.
- Good proofreading and editing skills.
- Robust research and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to understand and interpret scientific literature.
- Ability to simplify complex technical information.
- Good understanding of food ingredients, nutrition, functional foods, and nutraceuticals.
- Ability to work across R&D;, software, and marketing content.

Educational Qualification

- Candidates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
- Food Science
- Food Technology
- Nutrition / Nutrition & Dietetics
- Nutraceuticals with relevant domain knowledge
