About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Flexo Machine Engineer / Technician to handle the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance of flexographic printing machines. The candidate should have hands-on experience with flexo printing machinery and a good understanding of printing processes, machine settings, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate, set up, and monitor Flexographic Printing Machines.
- Perform machine setup, job changeover, registration, and alignment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and operational issues in flexo machines.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of flexo printing equipment.
- Diagnose machine problems and coordinate with maintenance/production teams for quick resolution.
- Handle anilox rollers, doctor blades, printing cylinders/plates, impression systems, and ink systems.
- Ensure proper ink viscosity, colour consistency, registration, and print quality.
- Monitor machine performance and minimize downtime, wastage, and production losses.
- Perform machine adjustments during production to maintain required print quality.
- Conduct routine inspection and lubrication of machine components.
- Maintain machine maintenance records, breakdown reports, and production-related documentation.
- Follow SOPs, safety procedures, quality standards, and 5S practices.




- Coordinate with the Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Stores teams.
- Support installation, commissioning, and trial runs of new printing equipment when required.

Required Technical Skills

- Hands-on experience with Flexo Printing Machines.
- Good knowledge of flexographic printing processes.
- Knowledge of machine components, printing units, rollers, cylinders, doctor blades, and ink systems.
- Troubleshooting knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Understanding of printing defects and their corrective actions.
- Knowledge of machine setup, changeover, registration, and print-quality control.
- Ability to read basic machine drawings/manuals and understand technical specifications.

Qualification

- ITI / Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Printing Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Relevant hands-on experience in flexographic printing machinery will be given preference.

Experience 3-10 years of relevant experience in flexographic printing machine operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, or engineering.

Candidates with strong hands-on experience in flexo machine maintenance and troubleshooting may also be considered based on their technical expertise.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Strong hands-on knowledge of flexographic printing machines.
- Candidates from printing & packaging, labels, flexible packaging, paper/film printing, or related industries are preferred.
