Role & responsibilities To support procurement activities for engineering materials, components and services, ensuring timely availability of the right material at the right quality and cost. The role will provide exposure to sourcing, supplier management, purchase processes, cost analysis and cross-functional coordination in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred candidate profile

Key Responsibilities

- Support procurement of raw materials, components, engineering items, consumables and services as per business requirements.
- Understand material requirements, specifications, drawings and BOMs and support the sourcing process.
- Float enquiries/RFQs to approved and prospective suppliers and collect quotations.
- Prepare quotation comparison statements covering price, quality, delivery and commercial terms.
- Assist in preparing and processing Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs).
- Follow up with suppliers for order confirmation, production status, dispatch and timely delivery.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Quality, Stores,



Finance and Planning for procurement-related requirements.
- Support identification, evaluation and development of recent suppliers.
- Maintain supplier and procurement records in ERP/SAP and MS Excel.
- Ensure procurement documentation is complete and maintained as per company processes.
- Participate in cost-reduction, process-improvement and supplier-development initiatives.
- Follow all applicable company policies relating to quality, safety, compliance and procurement governance.

Technical Skills / Knowledge

- Basic understanding of procurement and supply-chain processes.
- Basic knowledge of engineering materials, components and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to understand basic engineering drawings/specifications and BOMs.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Exposure to SAP/ERP will be an advantage.
- Basic understanding of costing, quotation comparison and commercial terms.
