Position Summary

- Position: ITI Fitter / Maintenance Fitter

- Reporting To: Maintenance Engineer

Key Responsibilities

- Mechanical Maintenance: Perform routine, preventive, and breakdown maintenance of all plant machinery, including chemical reactors, blenders, agitators, pumps (centrifugal, gear, dosing), valves, and pipelines.

- Assembly & Alignment: Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and structural drawings to assemble, install, and align heavy machinery and equipment precisely.

- Overhauling & Repairs: Dismantle faulty components, replace worn-out parts (bearings, oil seals, gaskets, couplings), and reassemble machinery to ensure optimal performance.

- Pipe Fitting & Welding: Undertake fabrication, modification, and layout of MS (Mild Steel) and SS (Stainless Steel) piping networks. Basic arc/gas welding and gas cutting knowledge is highly desirable.

- Utility Maintenance:



Assist in the operation and upkeep of plant utilities such as boilers, air compressors, cooling towers, and water treatment plants.

- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to chemical plant safety protocols, including the Use of PPE, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and Hot Work Permit systems.

Candidate Requirements

- Education: ITI in Fitter

- Experience: 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance department of a manufacturing plant.

- Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in handling various hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments (Vernier calipers, micrometers).

- Solid knowledge of different types of pumps, mechanical seals, and industrial valves.

- Ability to diagnose mechanical faults quickly to minimize production downtime.

- Attributes: Strong troubleshooting mindset, team player, disciplined, and highly safety-conscious.
