Role Overview The FIS Systematics Subject Matter Expert (SME) leads analysis and solutioning around the FIS Systematics core banking platform and its banking modules. The role interprets COBOL-based processing logic, designs robust ETL workflows in Informatica, and establishes data quality controls across deposits, lending, mortgage, CDs, IRAs, and general ledger. The SME ensures regulatory reporting readiness for HMDA and AML, and partners with business and technology teams to translate requirements into reliable data and process designs.

The position also supports modernization initiatives and may contribute to migrations toward nextgen core banking platforms.

Required Qualifications

- Hands-on FIS Systematics experience (core banking)
- Solid banking domain knowledge: savings/deposits, lending, mortgage, CDs, IRAs, general ledger
- Ability to read/interpret COBOL-based processing logic and data layouts
- Informatica (ETL) development, mappings, workflows, performance tuning
- Design and implementation of Data Quality frameworks (validation, profiling, reconciliation)
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance data needs: HMDA and AML
- Experience with batch processing, file-based integrations,



and data mapping from Systematics
- Stakeholder engagement, requirements analysis, and documentation

Responsibilities

- Serve as the SME for FIS Systematics data, processes, and module integrations across savings, lending, mortgage, CDs, IRAs, and GL
- Analyze and document COBOL-based processing logic, copybooks, and data flows to inform ETL and data models
- Design, build, and optimize Informatica mappings/workflows; implement CDC, scheduling, and error handling as needed
- Establish and maintain Data Quality rules, profiling, reconciliation, and monitoring processes
- Ensure regulatory data readiness and partner with compliance teams for HMDA/AML reporting
- Troubleshoot production and batch processing issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes/preventive controls
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and business SMEs to translate requirements into technical designs
- Contribute to core modernization and migration initiatives (preferred: exposure to Mambu, Temenos, or Thought Machine)
- Create and maintain technical documentation, data lineage, and knowledge transfer materials
