Firmware is where our hardware comes alive and where the device meets the cloud. As a Firmware Engineer here, you will write real firmware that ships in real vehicles, working closely with a strong tech lead and the hardware team.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Firmware Engineer to develop firmware for our automotive telematics devices. This is a hands-on, early-career engineering role. You will write and test firmware, bring up peripherals, and help debug devices on the bench and in the field, with guidance and code review from the Firmware Tech Lead.

We are looking for someone who already knows their way around embedded C, is hungry to get deep into real hardware, and cares about writing clean, correct code.

What You'll Do

- Write and test firmware in C/C++ for microcontroller-based telematics devices.
- Develop and integrate drivers and modules for peripherals such as cellular/LTE, GNSS, BLE, CAN/OBD, sensors, and storage, under the lead's direction.
- Implement communication over UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and USB.
- Support board bring-up, peripheral validation, and hardware-software integration with the hardware team.
- Debug firmware issues using scopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG/SWD, and chase problems down to root cause.
- Write unit and on-target tests, and contribute to the firmware CI and build process.
- Participate in code reviews, follow the team's coding standards, and keep your code clean and well documented.
- Help triage and reproduce field issues and improve on-device logging and diagnostics.





Must-Have Skills
- 1-3 years of hands-on embedded firmware development in C/C++ for microcontrollers (strong internship or project experience considered)
- Solid fundamentals in microcontrollers, interrupts, memory, and at least one RTOS or bare-metal environment
- Working knowledge of embedded communication interfaces: UART, SPI, I2C, and ideally CAN or USB
- Comfortable reading schematics and datasheets and using basic lab tools (multimeter, scope, logic analyzer)
- Cares about code quality: clean, readable, tested code and willingness to learn from code review
- A debugging mindset and the persistence to get to root cause
- B.E./B.Tech in ECE, EEE, CS, or related (or equivalent practical experience)

Good-to-Have (Strong Plus)
- Exposure to automotive or telematics firmware (CAN/OBD, GNSS, cellular modems)
- Familiarity with version control (Git), CI, and static analysis / coding standards (e.g. MISRA)
- Awareness of automotive coding standards and functional safety basics
- Some embedded Linux exposure in addition to MCU firmware
- Use of AI/LLM coding tools as part of your workflow
- Personal or academic projects on real hardware (robotics, IoT, embedded boards)

You will own real firmware modules, learn the full path from schematic to field, and have a clear runway to grow into senior firmware ownership.
