Job Summary The Fire & Safety Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure working environment by implementing fire prevention measures, conducting safety inspections and drills, managing fire-fighting equipment, and ensuring compliance with applicable fire and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct regular fire and safety inspections of the premises.
- Identify fire hazards and recommend appropriate preventive measures.
- Ensure fire extinguishers, hydrants, fire alarms, sprinklers and other safety equipment are properly maintained and operational.
- Conduct regular fire drills and emergency evacuation drills.
- Train employees on fire prevention, emergency response and evacuation procedures.
- Ensure emergency exits, staircases and evacuation routes remain transparent and accessible.
- Maintain records of safety inspections, equipment servicing, fire drills and incidents.
- Investigate accidents, fire incidents and near misses and prepare reports.
- Coordinate with maintenance and other departments to resolve safety-related issues.




- Ensure proper placement of safety and emergency signage.
- Coordinate with fire department, external agencies and safety service providers whenever required.
- Conduct safety awareness sessions and toolbox talks for employees.
- Assist in preparing and implementing emergency response and disaster management plans.
- Ensure compliance with applicable fire safety and statutory requirements.

Candidate Requirements

- Diploma/Degree/Certification in Fire & Safety / Industrial Safety or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in Fire & Safety.
- Good knowledge of fire-fighting systems, emergency procedures and evacuation protocols.
- Knowledge of fire safety equipment and their operation.
- Strong observation, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to conduct fire drills and safety training.
- Candidates with experience in malls, hotels, commercial buildings, factories, real estate or large establishments will be preferred.
