CBRE is looking for an experienced Fire & Safety Manager to manage and oversee fire prevention, life safety, and EHS activities at a premium residential property in Goregaon, Mumbai.

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the effective functioning of fire and life-safety systems, maintaining statutory compliance, conducting safety audits and fire drills, managing emergency preparedness, and driving a strong safety culture across the property.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee day-to-day Fire & Life Safety operations across the residential property.
- Ensure fire-fighting and life-safety systems are operational and maintained as per applicable standards and statutory requirements.
- Monitor systems such as fire alarm panels, smoke/heat detectors, sprinklers, hydrants, fire pumps, extinguishers, hose reels, emergency lighting, public-address systems, and evacuation systems.
- Conduct periodic fire and safety inspections, audits, risk assessments, and hazard identification across the premises.
- Maintain all statutory documentation, inspection records, checklists, permits, certificates, and compliance trackers related to fire and safety.
- Plan and conduct fire drills, emergency evacuation drills, and safety awareness/training programs for employees, security personnel, technicians, housekeeping teams, vendors, and other site stakeholders.
- Develop, implement, and periodically review Emergency Response Plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Investigate incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions, and ensure appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Monitor contractor and vendor compliance with site safety requirements, including Permit to Work (PTW) procedures for high-risk activities such as hot work, electrical work, and work at height.
- Coordinate with the property/facility management team, engineering, security, housekeeping, and other stakeholders on all safety-related matters.




- Support periodic preventive maintenance and testing of fire-fighting systems in coordination with engineering teams and service vendors.
- Maintain emergency preparedness and ensure teams understand their roles during fire, medical, or other site emergencies.
- Prepare regular MIS reports, audit reports, incident reports, training records, and compliance dashboards for management.
- Liaise with relevant authorities and external agencies for fire and safety-related inspections and requirements, wherever applicable.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to create a protected environment for residents, visitors, employees, contractors, and service partners.

Candidate Profile
- Education: Diploma / Degree in Fire & Safety, Fire Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a relevant technical discipline.
- Relevant professional certification in Fire & Safety / Industrial Safety would be preferred.
- Experience: Preferably 5+ years of relevant experience in Fire & Life Safety / EHS operations.
- Experience handling residential complexes, commercial buildings, townships, hotels, hospitals, malls, or large facilities would be preferred.
- Good working knowledge of fire-fighting systems, fire alarm systems, emergency response procedures, safety audits, risk assessments, and PTW processes.
- Strong understanding of statutory fire and safety compliance applicable to building/facility operations.
- Should be comfortable coordinating with residents, facility teams, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Strong communication, documentation, reporting, and team-management skills.
- Candidates with experience working with facility management/property management organizations will have an advantage.
